This reminds me of the couple who lost their children (2 little girls and a boy) in a car wreck, then almost exactly a year later they had triplets in the same ratio (2 girls and a boy). It reminded me so much of Job and how God blessed him afterwards with many more children. Having the triplets won't stop the pain and heartache at losing three precious children, but it will have given them a reason to live on.

I'm happy for this couple. They have a beautiful family and they got what they were hoping for. But whenever I hear about couples who want a family but can't get pregnant, spending money they don't have on fertility treatment after treatment, then I start to feel sad for all of the kids waiting to be adopted. With abortion outlawed in several states now, if you find yourself wanting a family, please consider adoption. We have a lot of unwanted kids on the way. Adoption is how my family came together. No kid should grow up in foster care.
@nancy94789 ай бұрын
Adoption is the answer to stop the genocide of generations. It needs to be affordable.
@Iflie9 ай бұрын
Yeah they should make that a lot cheaper too.
@marylasiter28039 ай бұрын
They make it so hard to adopt even one child. It's like if you don't have a lot of money and a big home, then they won't even consider you. Then if you get past that, they drag you through so many other tests. Intervening everyone you've ever known or been related to. If one of those people have anything bad against you, then your out. It's so much hope and praying to just be let down and dragged for everything you've ever done. I in no way think they should just hand kids out like candy on Halloween. You do need to check out and really look at these people. They let people who are extremely unfit foster these babies and children and don't check in like they should. Then tragedy strikes. There are millions of people who would love to have a child that needs a home but it's easier to fight your chances in the IVF or other medical stuff than to go bring home a beautiful baby from an orphans home
@RuthB519 ай бұрын
@@marylasiter2803 Nobody should be shamed for their reproductive choices. And I don't mean to imply judgment on those who choose to continue trying IVF instead of adopting. You're right, adoption is an emotional roller coaster and a logistics minefield. And you didn't even mention the amount of time it can take. Most couples try naturally for a while before deciding to go another route. Adoption can take two or more years to jump through all of the hoops, and you're not guaranteed a baby at the end of the process. That's potentially years of waiting. And, it's expensive. To make another point, nobody should pick adoption because it makes them feel good about themselves. Yes, adopting does put good into the world. But any decision to become a parent should be because you want a child to love and guide into adulthood, regardless of the method used to become a parent. As to your point about foster care... it's a nightmare. No child should be raised in foster care. The only judgment I would apply to somebody is when they say they don't want to adopt because they want the child to be "theirs." I find comments like that offensive.

I knew someone who had babies born 3 months apart. The babies were conceived separately. They did a c-section for the first baby before labor began, then delivered the 2nd baby when it came to term. They were not twins, but it was easier to say that than trying to explain to everyone. They picked a date between the two delivery dates to celebrate the birthdays.

What the ultrasound shows was 3 individuals embryos each with their own sac, and placenta, so even if they put 2 embryos if the embrio split they can have 2 sacs but one placenta to be consider identical twins, so they end up being fraternal triplets, so she was implanted 2, she was pregnant before. So when embrio split they have to be same sex for sure.

Wait, so are they still technically triplets and have the same birthday? Or are they twins and then a completely separate sibling?
@apgacruz10 ай бұрын
They are fraternal triplets
@boycott272010 ай бұрын
You can have twins or any number two ways. Either you have multiple eggs fertilized, or a single eggs splits into two or more and are fertilized. If you have one egg that splits, you have genetically identical babies. If you have multiple eggs, it is no different from any other sibling. You have the normal variation in genetics. In this case she had three separate eggs, so they are triplets, but not identical. If one egg had split into three eggs, they would have been identical triplets. So yes, they have the same birthday, but they are no more alike than any other brother or sister.

Twins, tripletts, quadruplets, quintuplets or whatever: It's occuping the uterus at the same time that makes it a "multiple" pregnancy, regardless if they're conceived at the same time or share the date of birth. i've had patients who delivered one baby prematurely then de!ivered the other(s) closer to term. I think the most distance between were twins, one born at 28 weeks & the other was at about 36 weeks. They were fraternal twins -- so each had its own amniotic sac & placenta. Twin 1's water broke early, & had to be delivered to prevent infection. But once it was out, mother was able to continue carrying Twin 2, since its amniotic sac was still intact & placenta still fully attached.
