It isn’t fair that you have to explain yourself so clearly on things like this because this is your life, but sadly being judged comes highly from viewers.. But I’m so glad you get to be with your family during this time! I pray everything goes well during your stay🤍🤍

I think it’s awesome that y’all can go and stay with your family for a while. I would TOTALLY do that if I had family willing to let us, just the change of atmosphere would really help. Staring at the same 4 walls 😳 for months now

Kayla your videos mean more to me than you could ever know. As a FTM to a little one (4.5 mths) who has had colic, does not nap/sleep well, you have given me hope and taught me how to deal with various situations along the way. Keep up the good work. Watching your videos is now part of my morning routine :)

Thank you for keeping it real, things aren't perfect when you have little ones and that's ok that is real life. Once our babies and ourselves are fed, changed and happy that's all we can ask for and if we manage to take a shower and brush our teeth we are way ahead of the game.

Kayla I am sooooo excited and happy for you!! No matter the situation the days the night whatever family makes your heart and mind feel so much better. Very good decision you and Joe made for your sweet little family. Please always remember Kayla you are an amazing strong beautiful woman with your own identity, yes you are a wife and a mamma but you are still Kayla the individual.. I respect you so much. Hugs safe travels (even though you are safe already) and love to you and the family.

I’ve been watching your channel for awhile and you have helped me so much. Postpartum depression hit me extremely hard after having my second little girl. My first is going to be 4 in September and my little just turned 5 weeks. Sleep has been hard and just having a baby rely on me solely again is hard especially when my toddler wants as much attention as possible. You give me hope💕

Here in the uk we are allowed to visit 2 friends or family members now, so I think you going to stay with your parents house for a while is an amazing idea & I know it will bring you all so much joy and excitement for you all to be with family at this time. I hope you all have a fabulous time with your family and I know your parents will love to spend time with their grandchildren so it will be such a special time for you all.

Oh I'm so glad and happy you are going to see your family and stay for a bit and have a much much needed rest/break. I've been so worried about you, yes Jackson was the one hurt, but also you, with the current pandemic, Jackson being in his accident and all while you moved away from them and adjusting to that. You have been in my prayers every day the last month truly praying for strength and good vibes for you Kayla. Have a great time visiting your family.

Driving is the smart choice for transportation to and fro, so you don't have to travel in or stay in anything/place that you have no way of knowing how their HVAC system recycles air with fresh air input or how they have sanitized things, if at all. Just be aware that FL has allowed way more laxity than most other places against medical advice. You'll be able to enjoy the yard and pool there a bit before it gets too hot. Joe can drive. You can deal with the children on the trip. How will this impede Jackson's sleep training program? It sounds like he's improving with only 5-10 minutes of crying before drifting off to sleep. We can hope he will begin doing that regularly when he awakens slightly at mid-sleep but is not hungry or in trouble. Perhaps you can invite a few of your neighbors over for a barbecue over the summer to get to know them before Joe goes back to the office on a regular basis or the winter sets in with probable Covid-19 recurrences. That way the only people you know will not be in FL. Oh, you have an aunt in GA, right? Will you be able to take a break on your trip southward to see her and get out of the car for a spell? Is there a way to meet other KZbinrs in the D.C. environs and perhaps watch their videos to see if they are folks you might like to meet and at least compare notes with a couple of times a year? That was not a meltdown from Riley. That was her whining and fake-crying instead of using her words to ask for the help she wanted to put her toy back together. They do not stop meltdowns/tantrums with a mere walk away like that. It is not good for her to assume people have crystal balls and can divine/imagine what she wants/needs to help her. She will not be served well in life by not using her words to make her situation clear. Tantrums are different, because most kids just have to work their way out of those once they stop crying or screaming. Seldom are they actually able or willing to tell you what is bothering them. A lot of toddlers whine a great deal of the time or fake cry or really cry. It can occur off and on all day, but those brief spurts are not tantrums. Just what you could call typical toddler emotionalism. But these need to be teachable moments with them learning how to express what they want or feel and for them to learn from you how to negotiate what is possible and what is not possible. Again, when you went in to get Jackson he was not crying, so you could have let him stay there to see if he would soothe himself back to sleep. He was not crying or thrashing about, indicating discomfort or even displeasure. He was calmly laying there. If the room was dark with the sound machine on, he might have dozed back off. You are right: baby wake-up smiles are the best. What kills me is how gorgeous Riley's hair is even having just gotten out of bed from sleeping. No one else's hair ever looks that beautiful. I'm envious. Your father may have ordered the berries in time, but the excess traffic in things being delivered from everywhere to everywhere imaginable may have slowed them down in getting to you. So, is Joe becoming a toddler whisperer? He may have a new career with lots who want to hire him. The roses are lovely. That mess looks big for bird poop and it's the wrong color. It must have been some other creature. Your dining table and chairs look good in that space. Two weeks? I thought I just heard you change that to three? Well, you'll have laundry et al there. You wouldn't have considered wasting that much leftover food before either, would you? If nothing else, we would take things to neighbors before we left rather than waste it. The berries alone will be good healthy snacks to have in the car and when you get there before going shopping for a day or so. Have a safe journey. I hope the kids sleep in the car for you. Do you have a neighbor or one of Joe's coworkers with keys watching your house while you are gone 3 wks.?

For my 3 yr old I use the Aussie shampoo, it’s also a 3-1, after her hair is dry I rub a little bit of the garnier oil for her frizzy hair. It leave it so smooth... why don’t you try to donate the clothes for ppl who actually need stuff instead of taking it to goodwill.. maybe post it on your local area and leave it outside for someone to pick it up. have fun momma!!! You are truly blessed to be able to go and have a momma break! 💕

Have fun with your family. I bet you're happy that you can drive. I'm trying to decide what to do myself. My husband got his greencard and we got the all clear to travel to the US. The downside is if we fly we have to self quarantine somewhere for 2 weeks. I can't imagine entertaining a 18 month old in a hotel.

I think I would do the same thing. I don't have much of a support network, you're so lucky to have parents able and willing to help you so definitely take advantage of having the help, girl! I totally get it! If I need help for the most part... I have to hire someone...and like you, I trust nobody with my kids! Like, it even makes me nervous some of the family that I do have will do certain things that are not what I would do... if you get me there. So yeah, I understand your reasoning! Know that a lot of other Moms WOULD do the same! So my FIL is disabled, my MIL works full-time, my Mom passed away, My Dad lives far away and is absent-minded, both my step-parents also live far away but both never raised kids of their own (they are attentive and good with kids but also it would be helpful if they'd raised kids sometimes they don't know certain things are risky with little kids) So yeah I have people but I do not have people and I have no siblings, my husband has only brothers and in my experience brothers aren't as helpful as sisters with caring for kiddos.

I feel your pain we move in 2 weeks. We are a military family so we will be driving home with our 5 month old. Then my husband deploys for 9 months soon. I’m terrified to move with her but I think we are going to leave at night so she can sleep in the car seat and won’t mess up the sleep training.

Also, kinda OT but my MIL is a mail carrier she told me she's seen a spike in people buying those "mattress in a box," things which tells you a lot of people are probably buying those since family are coming to visit to shelter in place with close family and friends, so you aren't alone. A lot of karens are doing it but probably would deny doing it haha.

Don’t wait for good will. Post it as feee to Facebook market place or check into other charities like Ronald McDonald house or local volunteer services for the homeless of women’s protective services. There are still people in need right now, and goodwill isn’t the only resource to help them. Honestly goodwill isn’t even the best first choice anyway.

Any children’s shampoo is good for toddlers hair. Johnson’s have a good range of hair products for children, and here in the UK 🇬🇧 we have a great child friendly hair shampoo range from a product called Child’s Farm. I’m not sure if they sell this in the USA or Canada etc. but I highly recommend the Child’s Farm products range for children’s hair and body, as the shampoo, conditioner and body wash they sell all smell so amazing.
