You should leave 128 games. That way you could do a 7 round bracket elimination tournament with them. And I think Jump Drive is better than Race for the Galaxy.

@@boardandsaviorgames Jump Drive is to Race as San Juan is to Puerto Rico. Very streamlined. Super easy to play with a two page rule sheet and plays in about 15 minutes. There are a pair of cards I have banned from play as they are super OP but a really good engine building game.

As much as I like watching game reviews and playthroughs to ascertain the quality of fun certain games will provide, nothing spells out NOT FUN more than watching culling game vdos. Thanks for this. The avenger core box of Marvel United left a lot to be desired for a lot of people. If you want to give it a better chance, try Spider-Geddon or the X-M'en core box. Overall, it's still a light game which might not be your cup of tea and that's totally fine 😉

I might look into the X-Men one… pretty much all the Marvel games I’ve got are Avenger-focused already, it’d be nice to have some mutant representation!

Facebook Marketplace first… I look up games that have sold recently on eBay and base the prices off of that, minus 5-10 bucks. I know some probably won’t end up selling, so I’m planning to sell the rest at Half Price Books which will inevitably be a bad deal for me, but it’ll be a few bucks and a lot fewer games to transport!

I recently moved from Louisiana to Colorado and just gave a bunch of games away to friends. Still had to move around 80-90 games. It sucked, the truck was probably 40% board games.

Agreed! There’s a silliness to it that I enjoy, but I feel like there are other games with a similar spirit that don’t leave me feeling a slight annoyance.

Have to say that's quite a good list to cull even though I would never get rid of my copy of Tokaido. But that's only because I have it signed by Antoine Bauza who is one of my favorite designers and Naïade who even drew a little artwork for me. The sentimental value is too high.

I think, with a few exceptions, these are all good games. This was definitely tough to figure out, I spent a lot longer deciding than I did filming!

I saw your comment on the short, and yeah, it's just always fallen flat in the last few turns for me! It's not exactly the same thing, but I like Hyperborea as a "looks like a fighting game but is actually a great euro" entry. I wouldn't say it's got theme anywhere near the level of Scythe (in fact, its theme is utterly ridiculous), but it feels more all-around satisfying for me. Interestingly, I think Ankh: Gods of Egypt might fit most of your criteria. Great minis, unit upgrades, beautiful production. Again, not as thematic (it can provoke a bit of mathematical AP), but it could be worth a shot if you can play it before you buy!

I'm new to board games and have purchased re 100 or so, yet haven't opened up one as I'm moving to Europe from Australia to be with my wife and then play them. Out of the 30 you are throwing away, I only have 2...Carcassonne and Gloom Haven. Most of mine are crime-style or ones that my 8yo granddaughter can play. One I already know is going to be an absolute favourite is Once Upon a Time....cannot wait to play that game, plus Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective. 2 games I will never buy or play is Ticket to Ride as I work on the trains so I don't need a game to remind me of my job, and Pandemic cos of the strong negative association to the word cos of the lovely Australian govt during that time. Can't stand the word let alone playing a game with the title or concept.
