Getting Rid Of Outdoor Ant Hill Colonies

This spring has brought a bunch of ant colonies to our backyard, I wanted to be sure I could eliminate them all so I try 3 different ways to get rid of them. 2 homeade remedies, and 1 product. You be the judge on what worked best.
I couldn't find an Amazon link for Wilson Ant Out, but noticed they do sell it at Canadian Tire, Walmart, and Rona.

I've had good luck with Borax covering the hill & surounding area + adding a couple baits of peanut butter & borax. It generally takes 1-2 weeks and they're all dead. I bought 2lbs of borax a few years ago for $12 off Amazon and I figure its at least a 10yr supply

I did read about peanut butter as a possible mix as well, good to hear it from someone else. How do you apply it? Just pour it on a well?

@@HouseDadLife I heavily dusted the hill and about 2 feet away from the hill all the way around. I made jelly bean sized peanut butter & borax balls . I used 6 per hill. It worked out well. I lightly dust around the perimeter of the house too.

Just an update, the borax and the wilson ant colonies are done, there is nothing there. The last colony is just about done even after the wilson is picking up the slack.
