Using a Kubota KX033 & BrushHound FX-26 mulching head to clear some light brush. Found a few old stumps and some pretty unhappy yellow jackets.

Good stuff man. A walk around of the 33 and the mulcher setup would be appreciated.

If you don't mind me asking. What did the mulcher cost? I just bought a flailing mower and im not really happy with it

What coupler are you using? I have a kx033 with a pin on bucket but want to add some attachments to make it perfect 😄 but uncertain on a coupler choice.

The 33 came with a Werk-Brau coupler and thumb on it, works fine with the mulcher and CAL buckets I have. If I had the choice I would have went with a CAL (Construction Attachments), I like their thumb design better.

Always wondered how these work on the smaller carrier. Did you need to add a case drain?

Actually ended up selling this setup, think it was usable but slightly undersized. No case drain, has a valve for one way flow for the return line so not a lot of back pressure.

So did you get something more powerful yet with more weight as a few posts down you write "the 33 is a little tippy when at full reach?" @@buildingreality2264

Actually I just saw that is 785 lbs which is pretty heavy. Did you find one more powerful yet lighter?

Are you happy with the FX-26? Looking at one for a KX-040.

The mulcher is great, and would be even better with a 40 as the 33 is a little tippy when at full reach.

Do you happen to remember what size and type of thread your diverter on the excavator is?

How’s this do power wise? I’ve used a 40 with this but I’m looking at a 33 to buy

I sold it to move to a 40 actually, felt slightly underpowered
