Pouring the footer for a 30 X 128 ft Silo

The 1 thing I observed was the white dog just laying there for most of the pour. Someone needs to play with the dog. 😊😊

The foundation is 4 feet deep by 8 feet wide which held 120 yards of concrete.

What is the trench leading up to the silo with the concrete walls for?

It's for an auger to take silage over to the conveyor belt at the other silos.

That was us. The silo crew is supposed to start on Wednesday so we will see what they're time schedule is

Where are Y'all located in Rockingham County? Will you have enough corn silage this year to maintain the herd? I know it's been dry.

Cub Run Dairy is the farm name. It been pretty dry but we have enough corn under irrigation that we should be fine.
