you could also use double tipped knitting needles.

Good suggestion!

Good to find a left handed vid. How do you set up if you want to use a key ring?

Not sure as I’ve never done those but I guess you could double the yarn over it to create two warp strands.

I'm assuming cut yarn about 1.75 x longer than the length of the finished product?

Yes that’s a good formula. I just cut way extra but it’s better than being too short.

Are you a lefty? Can I start the same way but from the right going left. I'm a righty.

Charlotte Defreitas Yea I’m a lefty and for the two main weaving videos I have right and left versions. Be sure and watch the ones marked “RIGHT HANDED” for those. Happy weaving!

Apparently, I (as a lifelong VERY Lefty) am so used to watching right hand tutorials, I find myself automatically 'mirroring' what you are doing here (good gravy) So I have spent the last 45 minutes switching between this video, and the one about doing a row. On that one, I am doing it left, not mirroring (and clearly it's going wrong) Now that I have figured out where I am going off the rails, I will try again. If you did a video even doing the set up and just a couple rows in one, that may help boneheads like me ;) Thank you for this, your instruction is clear (but my left handed, dyslexic brain needs to digest it fer a bit )

Keep at it, you’ll get there! I am the exact same (lefty dyslexic) so learned the same way. wanted to provide left and right hand versions for that reason, but sorry I tripped you up! just keep practicing and it’ll start to become natural. Happy Weaving!

@@KarenBerry No worries, I did the same with crochet when I started 5 years ago, now I do commission work for people which tickles me to no end. One thing I am, when something interests me, I am very stubborn, and determined. It is greatly rewarding when the 'light clicks on'. I just found it amusing when I realized what I was doing, too funny. Thank you for what you do. Without people like you, I wouldn't really have had the opportunity to learn so many new things. soap making, cheesemaking, crochet and now weaving (RHL, finger, Sprang, and in the future Inkle) Pretty much tickled pink with the possibilities

Where is your tutorial on how to start? How many strands?
