I fish a lot irl and no lure movements really bug me. Worms just lay flat. Cranks don’t wobble. Your lure moves right thru rocks underwater. Chickamaga which is my home lake isn’t close to reality. F- score from me

Fish finder still leaves much to be desired. Finding bass requires locating topwater and underwater cover like weeds timber etc.

Yea I am honestly fed up with this game. I feel like this should have been a addons to the last game. The lures moved in the water they don't move here. Still the bass don't act like they should. The lures don't react like they should. There was no one talking about how to perform different techniques like how to twitch or using dropshots. I like the game just I don't like how you find a hot spot then 5 min later the bass are gone bass don't swim like that. They stick in cover and ambush and they move according to weather patterns. The fish finder is the same no side scanner incorporated. I have 25 rods in my boat and the fish don't bite nothing. The pro tips I think need to change for every lake cause they are the same right now. Tip is supposed to help you figure out what the fish are biting on for that lake and recommendation. I am not flaming anyone last year we asked for first person view while driving the boat with the computer at the wheel like the pro have this was to be able to see the fish finder and gps better instead of it in the top left corner. I hope that will come in this years game. Why do I have to buy every thing 25 times if I want to change my rods to I dont get that. If I buy line I should not have to spend 4000 bass bucks for each rod for line I can see lures if there lost due to a snag. I don't understand line I should buy it once and be able to use it in all my reels. If I want to build lake specific setups you can't cause you have to rebuy every thing. Starting out your not making money like that. And with the fish ai fish moving around like sharks not staying in one spot for any amount of time or being in areas like shallows and cover under and around docks like they should moving due to the weather patterns you can't win any events to have that much money. Lastly I noticed that the Triton boat z22 is not in the game is that coming to the game cause there is bassmaster? I will say this again I am not flaming anyone. I am pointing out issues I hope you will either fix with the lures and fish ai or add to the game with the first person driving view with the computers at the wheel like irl. Maybe improve the fish finder by adding side scanner to. Maybe change the migration pattern to reflect weather patterns. Also when you guys release new content where the game mechanics change for twitching and using different rigs that you do more information explaining how to use them and when like you used to do in fishing sim pro tour. Didn't see that kind of information in any of these video streams.

brothers, this looks and feels the exact same as your other fishing games, when are you going to add rod tension when you hoot a fish so it atleast feels like were fighting fish? hopefully atleast this game is 60+ fps. still sad to see that you guys havent done anything other than another reskin.

@@dovetailfishing im sorry my guys, i just finished playing it on gamepass and man, its rough, at no point do you feel like your controlling the fish. I literally couldnt tell the difference between a 4lb smallmouth or a 16lb striped bass while i was fighting. It looks better and the 60 fps is a godsend but other than that, im sorry dudes this feels worse than the catch to play, somehow.

OK , After playing and really getting a feel of the game....I must say i'm very disappointed,, The game is great and beautiful, as you would expect from a Dovetail game... all i have to complain about is only 3 things. 1. The action of the lures....OMG SERIOUSLY....you have pro Angler's on the Development of this game , and thats what you release to the public...Its like your reeling in a stick....you have all the best lures in the world at your fingertips and the actions are not even there its pretty disgusting actually!!! frogs, prop baits, crankbaits....like what the heck!!!! it moves like nothing 2. Nature is all a part of fishing, Nature sounds Birds frogs....etc.... these things are barely noticeable in this game..... Your competition Fishing planet....is a great example..... i feel like i'm in the heart of naturE .anyways don't get me started 3. The ability to pick up your catch when it gets close to the boat....I have watched plenty of Bass master classics....and they reach in and grab that catch... here they give a moan or a groan and that's it ....You can't tell me that this is acceptable Anyways on a final thought...whoever is in the fishing world , we are in 2021-2022 games are meant to depict real life, especially something like a fishing game, or hunting sports we want realism, all this hype for a new dovetail game and we get this . I will still play this title and bang out all the achievements, and enjoy the majority of you DLC'S . but please get it together this is a poor improvement 6/10 FOR ME

im surprised you even gave it a 6/10 i couldnt even play it for longer than an hour. Everything is so poorly done, you cant even turn off motion blur. they give you frog bait but you cant even pop reel. its missing so many reeling styles. you cant tell what you have on your line, in Russian fishing 4 or fishing planet, you KNOW when you got something heavy on the line. in this is completely random because a 2 lb bass feels the same as a 16 lb striped.

I find it easier to set good hooks from the top water view. Something about using the underwater camera, when you get the fish and it transfers the camera view always messes me up.

So far the biggest problem i'm having is figuring out how to properly fight a fish, every time i land something it goes on for awhile but always ends the same way, with the fish ending up off my hook and i'm clueless as to what i'm supposed to be doing to prevent this from happening, and the tutorial doesn't tell you shit.

@fluttershy Stays High420 At least you don't have to worry about a shady Bass Pro shop I'm dealing with on here. I was slaying the Northwest tip of Hamilton. First day owning the game. The monsters kept breaking off the hook. I go and buy 3 separate line spools, and can't find the damn things. I earned over 15 grand in about an hour landing fish with that basic white pole , 7 lb test, and the rattler, ... can't figure out why my line I bought is missing.

Put it this way, I got both the 100 fish caught trophy and the Hamilton Mastery in the first 4 hrs playing. And 3 of those hours were spent in the tutorial, figuring the boat and controls of casting, then catching 3 or 4 every 5 minutes and trying to figure how the drag works to land them. The last hour was finally sort of figuring out how to put it all together and found a honey hole on Hamilton and that lure must have had cocaine on it, they were popping it as soon as it hit water, I was having to reel fast to keep the smaller fish off. I should have gave 5-10 more catches of 7lbs or better, but they kept breaking off. I'm a decent gamer and was thumbing the L2, drag, and reel speed quickly while jerking those lunkers left and right after letting them run a second. 7 lb test won't cut it.

On PS4? This is something the team are working on, as pressing directional buttons brings up the menu, rather than providing the true function of the trolling motor.

On Xbox, you hold the A button while standing on the front of your boat. Up and down, on the D pad to accelerate and decelerate. Left and right on the D pad, to steer.
