Love xilinx hardware, but they really jumped the shark with vivado. Quartus is so much better, matter of fact, ISE Webpack > Vivado

Quartus is a different tool with a different style of usage . I have used both Quartus and Platform designer. There are quite a few abstract concepts while building a system with Platform designer. TRy running with 20 GB or 24 GB if you are only going to run Vivado. Only time it requires all 24 GB is while routing or during placement.
