Getting Started with the Control One

i am trying for 3 days now to get a dmx signal out of the controlone and its not working :/ Firmware update also not working, not on PC and not on Laptop, i shows only "waiting..." for hours.

@@Market_Engineer514 i solved it by going in windows 10 to the device manager and update the driver. just click in the device manager on the soundswitch controlone device -> update driver -> search automatically for updated driver... after that, you hear a click in the control one and the dmx output worked and firmware update work too.

Do I have to use a computer/laptop to use S.S.? I have Denon Prime4 Plus and trying not to bring a laptop to my gigs since this controller is all-in-one.

I do have a soundswitch usb dongle, my question is does the control one work independently from the dongle or together?

Hey, Its can do both depending on how you want to work. Control One is best seen as an upgrade from the Micro DMX.

The mystery now for me is the difference between "Project", "Project Export" and "Save Lightshow". 2nd mystery is the soundswitch information sored in mp3 files. what is if for?

I want to autoscript all my 130,000 tracks that’s on my internal ssd on the prime 4. So if I auto script all of them. And then want to plug my ss dmx dongle into the back of my prime 4. Or the control one. All I have to do is just export after they have been autoscripted.?

Thats correct. Export the SoundSwitch Project to a USB drive, and select this project in Engine Lighting. Then you should be good to go. If you need further help, please contact [e-mail]

after autoscripting on my pc with control one hooked up to pc i then export to control one and the hook up control one to my prime 4... or do i send autoscript to a usb to then pull up on prime 4?

well done, this is a completely mind-blowing product, it's great! I have a question about DMX control with the link protocol. If we use software like Traktor, is it possible to analyze the music in sound switch and have automatic scripts created? for live use do you have to have the Traktor software and SOUND SWITCH switched on at the same time or the fact of having analyzed the music beforehand in sound switch makes it possible to do without the software in live use? It would be interesting to have a tutorial with this use.

Hey Gilles, Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately with Traktor the only way to link the software is using Ableton LINK which is NOT compatible with the AutoScripting feature. If the team at Native Instruments can provide us an API we could add full scripted track support for you. However, we have requested this but haven't received the support we would have liked. If you want to use Ableton LINK and Traktor, you will need to have both software running at the same time.

Hey guys i am new to Party lights and all that i just wanna connect some fancy Party lights to my Pc but anything i find on internet it is like sound activated i don’t want to to react to my speakers because i play music with my headset on so is there a way for me to connect the lights to My pc using a AUX or some kind of canle that detects the music i am playing in my headset and the lights react to that. ?
