I solved the problem, I still had rekordbox 5 installed and the flx4 only works with rb 6.

I had the same issue and it turns out the processor in my laptop wasn’t coping with the work load. Anything below an i3 processor isn’t gonna work unfortunately.

8:40 - Top-tip for beginners: Rather than try and start the track to be mixed in on the drop, count 1 bar in and hold on that beat, then when the drop happens count one bar and THEN let the new track go. It gives you some buffer in case you miss the drop.

How is it? I’m contemplating getting one. I’m a music freak and always wanted to be a DJ in my younger years. Now I’m pushing 40 and looking to finally get my feet wet. Had my first experience being a DJ at my mom’s retirement party using just an app on my iPad and a large Bluetooth speaker. That sparked my interest into diving into the DJ thing.

i have the flx6 and dont use jog cutter or merge effects, im currently remapping them until i can afford an upgrade to xdj-xz but its been great. i moved from years of traktor controllers to this and it was been seamless. Rekordbox over serato for me too. ive started using 3 channels but if this had been out i wouldve bought it. however i have a ddj-sp1 attached to give full control of the fx channels

Different frequencies are displayed as different colours, which just gives you more visual info on where the bass kicks in etc.

Hi there Crossfader Team, I get gigs at Partys and Weddings (too old for being a club dj anymore) and I struggle with Radio Songs playing via Tidal. ATM I am using Stems via PADs on my FLX4 to cut off Vocals at end from Master in a vocal pause, lower bass and using smart fader to change to next song with BPM/KEY changes alot in my playlists. Do you have a video about this or can you maybe make one? Would love to see it.

As far as i’ve been using it as my first dj controller, it works great. I gotta admit that i’ve been trying to learn new stuff every day for the past month and a half and that has gotten me to a point of wanting to buy a more professional dj all in one because all of the features they have on the gear itself, but since i don’t plan to make this a living i will probably be using the FLX4 for the rest of the year and i think it will still make the work

I did this with little to no knowledge, about four months into owning the Flx 4 and can say I definitely learned the in’s and outs just by practicing along with a few KZbin videos. Still lots to learn but it’s a fun process

Anyone have idea why in rekordbox it shows wrong BPM, i tried to analyze it but its not changing. I had been using TRAKTOR pro for a very long time and I recently switched to Rekordbox 6 with DDJ FLX4. It shows the exact BPM in Traktor but its wrong in RB. I tried to control Traktor using DDJ FLX4 but couldnt. It would be helpful if anyone can help out. I play genres from Darkpsy to Hitech.

Need a bit of help please! Just got my DDJ-FLX 4. First time I used it. Instead of using my studio monitor speakers, I just plugged it with my lat top and used a JBP speaker which is connected through bluetooth with my lap top. So, when I'm listening a track I'm listening it faster in my headphones than in the speaker. It's like in the headphones I'm half a secongd ahead than what is heard through the speakers. Obvisouly this makes beat matching impossible. It something wrong with my settings? Any help more than welcomed. Thanks!

Ok so... i downloaded serato dj lite and i plugged the controller in and its not doing anything. I can only seem to controll the application with the mouse. I used the supplied type c cable to connect the controller to my pc and the lights turn on but nothing happens. There seems to be no clues that the pc even knows the ddj is connected. I was hoping this video would cover this cuz its not covered in the provided instructions nor did the troubleshooting website have any insight on this exact issue.

I had the same issue, I found the power output for my USB a wasn't enough and had to find a usb A 3.0 slot since I don't have type c on the pc case, also look into the virtual cable ypu might need that, I know some people get that and it works

Fix the issue of recording streams. Beatport link is pointless, if you can't even record a mix for our own use. Audacity, doesn't work with the ddj flx 4, beatport and rekordbox. Must be the updates put of sync.
