@@TylerEdwards yes very helpful, I'm planning on doing a personal project with 2 cameras and many angles, did a few completed tests and managing the clips was hell. Timecode seems to be the solution that's gonna remove a lot of friction. I'm just waiting for the right tools like those tc1 and the hypothetical pr2. Your video is a reminder of every detail I need to pay attention to.

Do you have any sound leak from the timecode generator when connected to the 3.5mm audio port? Even with an stereo cable, the timecode sound leaks to the other channel 😢 (not loud, but noticeable)

Excellent video as usual. from the research i did in early 2024, premiere was not able to convert timecode via audio channel.

Thanks for the info!

@TylerEdwards for additional info incase anyone else is doing research, premiere can handle timecode through a time code port, just not via the audio channel. I use resolve but the person I sub contract most of my work through uses premiere so I didn't move ahead with TC generators and he just gets to suffer editing :)

Wonder if you can help. I had a 2 camera shoot (FX6 & FX30) Additionally, I used the Rode Wireless Pro (which has timecode) I was using the Deity TC-1. I plugged the timecode into the cameras and one into the Wireless Pro. Synced them all successfully via the Sidus App, all worked well. Plugged the Wireless Pro into the FX30, kept the TC1 plugged into the FX30. The audio coming through with the timecode pitch, not the interviews. However, on the Wireless Pro, I could see the interviews was also there. When I got it back into the edit (Da Vinci Resolve, all I have is the timecode sound recorded, not the interview. Is the audio lost? Or has it recorded somewhere?

Did you record audio to the wireless pro transmitters as well? The files will be saved on the TX and needs to be downloaded via usb. Also I’m pretty sure the wireless pro can only send out a timecode signal and not get jammed from an external source (I could be mistaken though). If you’re saying you jammed the timecode from the deity unit to the wireless pro, it probably wasn’t synced.

@@TylerEdwards I thought it recorded to the Wireless Pro, looked on the TX and nothing :( Does the camera not record both the timecode signal and the audio from the interview? Is there a way of seeing (in Resolve) if the audio is on another track?

Does the theos receiver have an in-built timecode generator? Or do i need to use a tc-1 unit?

It does not

@@TylerEdwards so i should use a tc-1 or a pr-2 tp generate the timecode...
