This was really interesting to me. I have EDS, as a younger person, I could hyperflex and do splits and all sorts of stretches. As an older person now, stretching is very important to help with chronic pain. I feel like I need to invest in the wall bars to help me out. Really good video.

Same! I have EDS, but I find now I need to stretch to help my joint pain.

You honestly did so good!! It's really interesting to see all the different exercises gymnasts do outside of practising skills!

Good video! It was nice to see you try a stretch and then see Ash show a gymnast's abilities. It really demonstrated the amount of training he's been through

That was incredibly helpful. I had a double mastectomy with radiation on one side and have very limited shoulder range. Those shoulder stretches will come in handy! Loving these daily vids :D

I have NEVER made a comment on YT, but I feel compelled to share this message with you, Nile, Ash, and Stoney. So I'm going to post this same message on each of your most recent vlogs. I'm a 45 year old American from Washington state (sorry, Ash! LOL) that has been watching you all since I accidentally came across Nile's post with Tom Daley... which I'm sure has to have been around 2016 or 2017....??? I've followed Nile throughout the years but have found myself following each of you as you've found your own "place" on YT. I've completely connected with you because you each have the exact same sense of humor as my husband and I. You remind me of our 20's/early 30's...as we were collegiate athletes (or as you call it, Uni athletes). He played American football and I competed in both soccer and track. But I continued to watch each of your vlogs religiously (not that either of us were gymnasts) but we were athletes that appreciate that we can't compete at the same level anymore! Yet you all challenge yourselves to be accountable! And your humor would literally make me laugh out lough as I watched. We have a daughter attending the University of Arizona this year that should have had a soccer scholarship but had some unfortunate injuries...Ash can relate. She was already on "radar" by several universities going into her freshman year of high school. But then COVID hit and she didn't get a second year of HS. Then, right before her Junior of HS started, she tore her ACL in club soccer training. She took a year off while she attended physical therapy and then got to start playing again on June 1 before her senior year and re-ruptured her ACL in August before her Senior soccer season. Absolute devastation... I appreciate that my daughter has experienced a similar experience with someone as incredible as Ashley... Ultimately, I wanted you each to know that I enjoy your content and also appreciate the mental/emotional challenges that Stoney and Nile have shared (I've had the same). Especially after COVID...I'm convinced you had to have touched a TON of people with your transparency! Jay...I have been told a million times over that I'm always the EXTRA POSITIVE one in the group...and I've always been the ONE girl amongst my husband and all his friends...so I SUPER relate to you!!! Thanks for all the time you invest in sharing your lives and joy. It means a LOT to people like me!

doing box/center splits up like that can be hard on your knees- a more effective and safer way (that I understand is longer than is good for a video) is to lay on your back with your legs up against the wall and let gravity pull them down over several minutes

I'm surprised gymnasts don't do feet strengthening like ballet dancers instead of static stretching, would help with leg power

I would love to be more flexible. All I need is a gym and two coaches named Ash and Luke. Besides the Atlantic Ocean being in the way, 71 years and several joint replacements pose a bit of a problem. Plus it was so much easier having Joanna experience the pain for me.

honestly if you can do several sessions on foot and calf strenghtening conditioning and stretching and show on each of you the differences how to improve squats relevés how to strengthen toes and then tie it all into a workout and or activity would be incredible! thank you ash Luke and Joan for opening up this conversation. Maybe have rehab specialist infer feet and a dancer or pilates person as well to provide other perspectives and insights? happy training

Stretching was always one of my favorite parts of dance. lol I didn't realize that I was way more flexible than average people. Most people can't even bend over and touch their toes. I need a set of these bars, seriously

This made me realize that I have been training only one foot to be flexible for 25 years. My right foot sickles beautifully, my left foot looks so stupid 😂. I used to love stretching my toes when I was a kid.

I loved it I'm 69yrs old who grew up playing Rugby or Weight Lifting(I was a BAWLA instructor) with a game of Squash thrown in for good measure, As a child I used to show off, putting my big toe in my mouth, Now unless it's a pound coin, it stays on the floor were I dropped it, I have worn my joints out, I also occasionally suffer gout attacks, Thanks for sharing the laughs and heart warming friends together vlogs Bugger I need a cuppa just watching

Ok... nice video! But the comments I've read only talk about proper stretching etc... but for me this is forced stretching: this shouldn't be done because it can cause a lot of damage I leave you an example video to clarify kzbin.info/www/bejne/pojXpH54p5Jrg5Y
I tried my brother’s 8 year old gymnastics conditioning routine…
