A traumatic trip to the dentists for Lucy as she gets two teeth pulled out for braces that she's having fitted next month. Plus Andy has been cooking at school and Kev has another busy busy day!

Olivia Elliott Good to hear! I still have several months to go... I just got another power chain on my lower teeth and those are always SO painful. I need surgery to have an impacted canine pulled out the roof of my mouth. If they twist it to bring it down it'll ruin the roots of the teeth next to it, so it just had to go. Fortunately I'll be knocked out for that because of my medical issues.. then I'll get a cap on my baby canine to make it look like the adult one. The braces are making room for an adult sized canine and slightly straightening the teeny gaps on my upper and lower teeth but when I get these power chains instead of regular wires and think about the surgery I really wanna give it all up.

You should get Andy a maths game called sumdog, so basically it’s maths and more fun then normal maths program you play games and get in a leader board you have to pay to sign up or play free I thought of this because he loves his iPad and maths

You shouldn’t drink from a straw when you get s tooth removed because it could cause a dry socket! Be careful! I did and I regret it big time!😢😢

I face planted the road from a scooter when I was in year 5 (I'm 29 now) and I'm missing a big front tooth and my jaw isn't lined up properly. dentist had a mad plan of braces and surgery on my jaw etc but I very hastily declined.

I know it’s a little late but for future reference, when a child looses a tooth or someone has teeth removed, no straws, or things to suck on. It can rupture any clots and cause really awful dry socket. Just a tidbit of advice!

You shouldn't drink through straws after having teeth out, it causes dry socket. Super painful! Love your vlogs btw :)

Thoughts to Lucy :) I know the pain and severe trauma of teeth being pulled, in fact the only way they can get mine out is in hospital. Make the most of the 'naughty' treats Lucy

I once had to have one of my baby teeth pulled out, as it wouldn't come out and the adult one was starting to grow. When it come 1 or 2 more baby teeth also came out.

The injection split in one of mine, like the needle, so didnt get the full anesthetic, so it hurt a bit

Don't give her straws after getting her teeth pulled, that can give her dry socket. /: I totally empathize, I have an impacted canine that's so bad they can't turn it or it would mess up the roots of the teeth next to it. They have to pull it out of the roof of my mouth (fkn OW... fortunately I'll be knocked out because of my medical issues) and then put a cap on my baby tooth. Currently have ceramic braces with clear power wires you can barely see to make room for it. "DIY dentist invasaline" lol. I wish they'd done this before I was able to legally purchase alcohol... but now is when I have good dental insurance. Damnit. She seems to be doing well though. Braces are really rough the first 7-10 days, but after that except for tightenings, she'll forget they're there.

Strikes me as If two teeth need to come out for braces then maybe braces arent worth it surely keeping as many of your adult teeth as possible is good

Tooth removal is my least favorite procedure to have performed! So queasy just thinking of it! Glad she did well :) Do they not advise against drinking from straws after tooth removal? Here in the US they instruct us not to as it can prolong the healing or cause dry socket in extreme cases!
