Getting the Christmas Bread - Beausejour Indigenous Bakery & Dirt Oven

Food is an important part of a Trinidad Christmas experience and while the Christmas lunch may be the highlight of the day, the Christmas breakfast is considered equally important. Having a specially baked bread is an integral part of every Trinidad Christmas morning. This year for Christmas I am getting bread baked in a dirt oven from the Beausejour Indigenous Bakery and Dirt Oven. More than just getting bread however I am getting a full explanation of the dirt oven baking process in Trinidad and Tobago.

When I use to live with my grandparents we use to bake brea d that way in" Cap de Ville" very palatable with cheese and butter.
