Thank you! This is really very helpful, especially the tip about skipping some talks. I tend to attend the whole event because I feel like it is required. But you are right, it is better to rest and conserve energy for the talks which are more important to me.

Thank you for these advice. I am going to attend my first international conference as a Ph.D. holder in August. Somehow I feel a bit more nervous than when I was a Ph.D. candidate. I understand your feelings. I haven't meet my family since I moved in to Japan in 2016. Hopefully I can meet them again this Christmas. Cheers!!!
