There's also an additional category of Angkor pass that falls somewhere in between the pricier 1/3/7 day tickets, and the free 2 year resident one. You're *supposed to* show at least a 6 month visa in order to qualify, but in reality no one at the ticket office seems to care. In any case the prices are $100 for an unlimited one month pass, $150 for 3 months, and $200 for 6 months...which if you compare to $37 a day normally, represents great value for money....as cheap as a buck a day. I absolutely love Angkor and put it in the top 3 sites worldwide, but having been said, in that heat, with the humidity, the rain, biting bugs etc, the whole staying from sunrise to sunset to get your money's worth is for the dogs - exhausting. The longer passes allow you to just check out one or two temples in a go, or even ride around for a couple of hours, spend longer at each place if you want, visit a temple for sunrise then come home....basically just chill at a slower pace.

Good information. Thank you. I bought the one day pass in 2017…..and hired a tuk tuk for the day. And it was basically rush….rush….rush for the top three temples, and Terrace of the Elephants and a couple other places from sunrise to sunset. Exhausting to say the least….but still amazing. I’m coming back to stay……and I’ll follow your advice of much longer passes. Namo Buddhaya….🙏🏼 ☸️ 🇰🇭 🌴 🙂

Thank you for the video. I was there for a couple of months in 2017. And spent four months in Thailand in 2013. Do you ever worry about someone stealing your motorbike when you park it to go into a market or go into the temples? Or are they pretty safe? Take care…..Namo Buddhaya ☸️ 🙏🏼 🙂 🇰🇭 🌴

Thank you for watching. Nope, I don't worry about someone stealing my moto, or my helmet that everyone just hangs over their mirror. In some towns I would lock my helmet but not many. Thanks for watching the videos !!

Can you talk about how you do banking as American using Charles Schwab? How do you do direct deposit from Social Security and eventually get to ABA or Cambodian bank so you can spend? Thanks
@AutumninAsia5 ай бұрын
I go to an ABA ATM and withdraw money with my Charles Schwab card, then deposit it into an ABA bank account. Charles Schwab reimburses my ATM fees at the end of the month.I don't have my SS go directly to any Cambodian bank. Once you are here in Cambodia and have at least a 6 month visa, you can get a bank account.
@Hea9lt9hy95 ай бұрын
@@AutumninAsia I think this is a good topic. More Americans are looking at Cambodia to retire. They want to know how to move their SS fund to spend in Cambodia. Thanks

You would be Great at Property Management...what I really mean is you would be great at helping people relocate and make the process easier...You would have a Monopoly in the business and your Channel can be your marketing tool. I think $1000-$1500 for your assistance with each part of relocating would be a fair price just the time saved is worth the money

(( WOW )) Why so expensive ??? - - - Everything seems mostly inexpensive over there if not cheap ? I like the free 1 year pass - but it takes -- what -- 2 years of living there 1st ? - - - I enjoy your videos & Dave's too. Claire is terrific and lately been watching Sean 'wandering' around. Hope to get over there - before I die - and experience some of that beautiful city and culture ! Such a fantastic place - I am completely infatuated from the US - just hoping I can tolerate such heat ? Health isn't the best & I really need blood pressure meds. --?--
@AutumninAsia5 ай бұрын
I'm pretty sure you can get your meds here. I would suggest doing a Google map search for pharmacies if they have a website check it out. At least you can send them a message and ask if they have what you need. And perhaps after moving here you will have better health and it won't be that bad. The heat...well fans do do wonders and use the A/C at night to cool down your bedroom. One piece of advice is to get a small place with a separate bedroom. It's much easier to keep cool. Thanks for watching !!
