I was watching your videos. This subject has nothing to do with the last video I watched. Anyways I understand that the people are very religious. Would a woman in Cambodia date a man who is not religious. Adding to that question is that I would respect her and her families believes but would not want to practice their religion. How do you think they would feel?

Hi Kelly Canadian guy here livig in the Philippines for 2.5 years now. Coming to Cambodia Siem Reap in March ... maybe permanently. One of the things impossible to get in the Phil's is USA sized clothing. What is the situation there to add to my diminished wardrobe ? Hi Kelly…. Some of us who have visited there for a week or two, or even lived there for at least a few months…know what you are talking about and where you are. That new fountain in the river is fantastic 😃 Siem Reap is a lovely city in Cambodia, and the people so wonderful. Take care…and have a great New Year. I’m 73 now, and can’t wait to come back while I’m still able to carry a small backpack. Finish out my last few years in Cambodia, and have a Buddhist funeral. Tired of my home country of Canada. I'm planning on "retiring" (from The US) in Siem Reap 4/2025, but I'll have to sell all of my Gold & Silver before I leave (not a problem) but I'm concerned about the "frailty" of our banking system, possible Internet problems, and other "difficulties" which could/might cause "interruptions" in accessing and managing my money/accounts while I'm in Cambodia. I'll probably bring $30,000 in cash with me, so if/when there are any "problems" I'll have enough cash to pay all of my expenses while (hopefully) the problems are resolved. I collect Social Security and interest income from my savings, and I hold Treasuries, so banking and/or Internet issues could be a big problem.

US government only allows $10k cash out of the country. You must report if you take out higher than that. It is more concern that you can lose the cash while traveling… if you access to multiple banks from your country, it best to diversify. Hope other expats can chime in their perspective. Hi, Why Siem Reap and not the capital? What are the advantages of living in Siem? Is it cheaper to cook at home or eat on the street? Happy new year

I like Siem Reap over PP because it is a smaller town and cheaper to live in. I think cooking at home vs eating street food would be almost the same. Maybe just a little cheaper at home but compared to places like the USA and the cost there, it is definitely just inexpensive here. Thanks for watching and have a great year !!!

The apartment suits…looks great and the fans must help! BTW, is there a local clinic in SR where expats can get vaccines for some human diseases caused by mosquitos and/or typhoid? Just curious.

I was just outside of the city. In town, the roads are pretty good. But I do have to agree with you that when you are driving out in the villages, the road can and do get pretty bad! But thank you for watching the video and have a great day !!!!

I have been in Siem Reap Since 1st July and am really loving life here in this beautiful Province. After traveling for 2 years it's great to stop somewhere. I have been trying to learn the language and am making new friends. Yes I miss my children and grandchildren friends and family but I probably talk to them more now than I did when I was living back in the UK. Maybe I will see you around town for a coffee and compare notes? ☕ 😄😁😊🙏🏽

I eight years living in Siem Reap, I have never heard a single expat say that they felt any guilt about leaving their home country or their choice to live here. I have known since May 4, 1970 that I was going to leave the US upon retirement. Chosing Cambodia turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life. I have a family here and spend 95% of my time exclusively with Cambodian people.
