I wasn't sure how I felt about the batwing but it is growing on me! The cheap bags work but as some point I'd like to upgrade to something nicer.

Mean bike man. Sounds amazing. I fully agree with the cruiser wave vs the sports bike wave. I’ll be honest, I’ll wave at anyone (even CAN-AMs, they cool) I find when I ride my 250, I don’t get as many waves as the Blackbird. It’s an odd concept. Some bikes command a bit more presence?

I typically try to wave at everybody but often wait to be waved to first. I suspect maybe some seasoned riders may not feel the "smaller bike newbie" isn't worthy of a wave. Heck if I know.

@@LuckyAcesRiding No need to take credit, it just sounds like a beast. Maybe get yourself some earplugs for the long rides, to keep your hearing a little while longer, and avoid the ringing. ;)

I've been thinking about earplugs for a while as the ringing is already there a little bit. Not 100% from riding but all the wind noise doesn't help.@@PaulsMotoZen

@@LuckyAcesRiding Not to promote anything, but I use "Plugfones". They have decent hearing protection, while also letting you listen to your music, directions, audio books, and other stuff. I use the "Protector (VL)" because I do not talk on my phone while riding. I listen to music and directions. I do not need the ones with a microphone. Yeah, I sounded like an infomercial, a bad infomercial... hehe

Ive got an 04 an i been thinking about different bars an risers do you know the rise on your setup?

I'm not 100% sure since they were on the bike when I got it. Just measuring the risers appear to be about 5-6" of rise with about 4" of pullback. The bars were about 38" wide or so. Comfortable but just felt too big. Currently I am running 2" risers and 12" apes.

@@LuckyAcesRiding juat wanted to say, i got those bars! They are on the bike and i love them lol they are what j call mini apes, i think they're 10" and i have 1"1/4 risers on it now too. Its transformed the bike completely! Looking forward to more videos ill post pics of the before and afier soon.

I prefer the term VN1600B, lol. Honestly it isn't too bad but I'm also in my late 30's with a (mostly) clean driving record.

I never could get rid of the Shadow! I have spent way too much money on it plus it feels like a part of me at this point!
