My strategy for surviving this would be to gaslight myself into believing I'm in either space or the infinite void. In my mind both of them are easier to deal with than the fucking ocean 💀

In space, nothing can survive, no monsters nor humans. In a way, it’s very safe and guaranteed in its depths. In the water, things could, and very much so *do*, survive and hunt in the inky black abyss, the deeper and darker you go, the larger and more alien/Lovecraftean the monsters are bound to show up. You are aware that while you cannot see them with your weak lights and submarine cameras, they certainly can sense you much easier.

I heavily understand your fears, girl- Thalassophobia is my #1 fear, specifically the third level.
