Now I know what the little hole on the side of the engine is for! Also interesting the spoke nipples are left hand thread. Hey Scott, what's that bronze gooey stuff you put on the spark plug thread? Good to see you're not yanking the oil bolts down too hard, I've heard people crack engine cases going too hard on the bolts. One more question, do you use new crush washers each time or reuse the old ones? Great video mate, enjoy your springtime!

Thanks for watching! The bronze gooey stuff was just copper anti seize. The copper is high heat. Up to 2000 degrees. Normal anti seize will do just fine. This is just what I’ve always used. The threads on the plugs are steel, and the head is aluminum. Dissimilar metals have a tendency seize. So this is just a precautionary measure. And I did the use the old crush washers. To some that’s a no no. But I usually replace them every other oil change. Never had any issues. Have a good weekend!

I did. No matter what jets I used I couldn’t get it dialed 100% like I wanted. Didn’t have the top end for some reason. Swapped back to the OEM jetted carb, and it went 104mph. 🤷🏻‍♂️. I’m sure an authentic FCR will be in the works before 2 long.

Hey Link awesome video! Question for you… when you put on the pirelli Diablo 3 tires on the bike did you add those little wheel weights to them? Do I need to add them if I swap out the stock SM tires for something like a Dunlop GPR 300?

Those are just balancing weights. The drz comes with the spoke weight. But in order to get them perfectly balanced, it needed a few grams of weights added.

Hey Link! I had gas getting into my oil on the stock carb. I opted to by the Kipa carb and a manuel petcock like ive seen on youtube. I feel as I still smell gas in my oil again, but am not too sure how to check. I did a fresh oil change as well, so im wondering if there was just some left over that is giving off that smell. The petcock is off when not running as well. Let me know what you think.. Thanks!

Instead of using the k&n sealing grease for the k&n filter, check out the PC racing pro seal option for the drz. So much easier, less mess and garanteed seal all the way around.

Much better thank just an LED bulb. The Morimoto JNS light is still the king. But this one does well also.
