@@fourlokouva try LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. or post a vlog introducing yourself and your services. Or write your own website through Wordpress, Wix, GoDaddy, Powweb. Try a vlog about it... But ultimately, you want to target people who know what it is. The folks you have to educate are a lot of tire kickers and won't understand your value right away. They're a slower and cheaper sell. If you get work without having to hold the learning curve hand, then you can showcase that on a portfolio attracting other high paying clients.

The most successful freelance writers have organizational skills. They have processes to make sure they keep on top of their requests and deliver work on deadline. So admin skills could give you a leg up on actually making a living at it. But read my other comment on this video about copywriting vs freelance writing. They aren't the same thing and the pay if way different.

Any sum would be feasable if your quality is good. Even if you started cheap doing high volume, how much could you make doing small articles you charged £10 each for? Not Copywriting per se, but a good way to get some good practice.
@Growmap5 жыл бұрын
Native English writers can easily make that just doing freelance writing once they get a client or two. Top copywriters can make that much or twice that much PER PIECE -- but only the few that are exceptional. There are lists online of sites that pay writers. Some pay $50 others $100+. Start with some of those. Do NOT try for some huge site that rejects 99% of what gets submitted there. Start with the smaller sites paying $100 for good content.

Hey guys, I want to be copywriter and I have no idea where to start. I did many research but I still do not know where to start.
@Growmap5 жыл бұрын
Start by just writing and getting published. To become a top copywriters really takes training, study and experience. Many writers make a living doing freelance writing without ever becoming top copywriters. But that is where the many times better money comes in. Expect to pay for a course and study under someone really great at it once you get some experience if you decide to go that route.

I've already made about $2000 on upwork, but I feel like I'm in a rut. I feel like I'm just doing the same old stuff for $10, $20 an article. It isn't as consistent as I want it to be, I already have contracts with 5 or so clients so I don't feel comfortable with going out and hunting for more clients. What should I do? Should I just keep harassing the current clients I am doing jobs for?
@andrepena286 жыл бұрын
Start learning how to get better clients now. If you can't move your current clients up the pay ladder, then it's time to start slowly replacing them. You've got clips/samples, now you just need to learn to find those better paying clients. Here's where I went to really learn how to make writing a career: freelancewritersden.com/dap/a/?a=2936 It's the Freelance Writers Den and it's full of great training. I'm not sure if they're open to new members right now, but get on the notification list. You'll be glad you did.
@candycane01125 жыл бұрын
Upwork is definitely a dead-end if you want to grow your copywriting business. It's a good place to start, but you won't have the 6-figure business you're probably dreaming about. Before I started running ads, I built my entire copywriting business by posting in Facebook groups. It's the easiest way to have clients come to YOU, rather than chasing them... which puts you in a position to charge higher prices :) I actually created a 30 day course for new copywriters... It shows you exactly how I do it, and what I say to get the sale. Let me know if you're interested and I'll send the link :)
