Incorrect. ALWAYS take negative battery terminal off first when disabling or removing a battery. When installing the existing battery or a new battery, always attach the positive terminal first. Always wear protective gloves when handling batteries.

i was thinking the same thing when i seen him take the positive of first, i was like this guy don't know what hes doing... he should of taken the negative cable thats on the side of the car frame of first...

What size battery did you buy?

you should remove the BATTERY clamp first. then remove the NEUTRAL clamp first because the car has a EARTH connection to the NEUTRAL TERMINAL. then remove the POSITIVE clamp. refitting is the reverse.
