Gettysburg Battle Walk with Ranger Matt Atkinson - McPherson Ridge [intro only]

A battle walk at Gettysburg National Military Park with Ranger Matt Atkinson in 2017. The walk focused on Colonel Abner Perrin's brigade and the actions on and between McPherson Ridge and Seminary Ridge on July 1, 1863.
This video only features the beginning of the walk. The camera went dead, halfway through.
Ranger Atkinson and the NPS hold the rights to the notes and lecture.

The videos are very good and Matt is very knowledgeable. NPS videos are very good, too . But I get confused regards the spacial orientation (which way is the camera facing, which direction is north/south. Where the group is at.) I feel editing in some maps with arrows would go a long way improving the presentations.

Terrible Waste of a Talented Ranger: I think Matt is excellent as evidenced by the LRT and Peach Orchard presentations. But this one should just be deleted. First, the video person/crew didn’t mic Matt so hearing him is practically impossible. Second, while I’m sure the presentation is super you’ll never see the whole thing. Why is simple, the camera stopped working. If I were Matt I would do to the audio-video folks what the Confederates did to Dan Sickles and take them apart piece by piece.

StuffWriter Look, I get it but if you’re not up to the job, don’t try. A wireless mic was used in the PO presentation so I don’t get why it wasn’t here. But probably draining your only battery(?) was so incredibly amateurish sell the camera to someone who can afford another, or more, power pack. If you want to do this seriously be a Boy Scout and “Be Prepared.” Another embarrassment like this and you will be rightfully run off the park. If you have a defense to my comment give it/them to me and the other viewers. Otherwise we will run you out of the state. And stay away from the other CW Battlefields. These are places of honor and where you tread soldiers bled and died.

Despite all the bullshit and arrogant scree going on here, I agree with Douglas Hawkins about the sound. I love listening to Matt, emphasis on LISTENING which I can't do here. There're a few others where sadly the volume or sound quality is poor.
