Because if you don't load it correctly then it's going to be even worse. Also he loaded it pretty fast considering he has to open one of his pouches, put the old magazine in, grab the new one, close the pouch and then load it.

The most funny thing about G43 in all WW2 games is that this weapon never was supposed to be reloaded by changing mag. Detachable magazine was mainly for cleaning purpose. Proper reloading this weapon is by 5-round stripper clips from top, like Lee-Enfield or any bolt-action rifle. Why? First, magazine production cost more and at war it was very major flaw. Second, one magazine was as heavy as 4 or 5 5-round stripper clips which means if soldier was about to carry ammo in magazines then it would turn out that he'll have much less ammo to maintain same weight.

That's actually Gewehr 41 version 43 actually has combination of Stripper clips pouch and 2 Detachable magazines So it's reloadable in both ways instead of just Stripper clips

Protectron The G43 was issued with 3 magazines. One in the rifle and two in an issued mag pouch. The Russian SVT was the same. One in the rifle and two spares in a pouch.

AIRBORNVELOCITY 8539 It actually goes for every gun. During that time Rifle magazines would be quite costy and heavy. It just didn't make sense to mass produce magazines if stripper clips gets the job done anyway. They were cheaper and lighter too.

It's engine limitations, since the game was built as a mod for Battlefield 2, which had the pull animations even with partial reloads

I'm really impressed with Forgotten Hope 2's G43. It's really slick, especially considering it was a _mod_ from _2007_ It puts its AAA contemporary (COD WaW) to shame. I was surprised how stiff that one was.

WaW is a fast paced game so you can't have a reload that takes like 20 seconds. But yeah I wish it was realistic tho

in Battlefield V this weapon is reloaded via stripper clips, only upgrade allows changing the magazine box and this is something fantastic i love Dice for, we can shit on some historical things but the guns ar in 99% correct

Battlefield V even added the important extra step for the Selbstlader 1916 empty reload, as well as correct other mistakes that BF1 had.

Well, the gun had some part (I can’t remember which) made out of stamped sheet metal (unlike the G41) and that part over time would start breaking after more and more use. Considering the fact that it was 1943 and that the Germans start to lose some ground after losing Stalingrad, most likely you would be dead before the gun breaking would be an issue, so the Nazis really didn’t care, and they proceeded to make 400,000 of these guns.
