I thought they said there'd be a new engine for these titles. Instead, it's the same PlayStation 1 Gex from way back. Why should I buy this collection when I can play my original Gex CDs in Retroarch with overclocking, a bigger resolution, fixed geometry, corrected textures, and lots of other improvements for no cost?

Okay but Gex 4 maybe? A loooot of the appeal of these games is references, and some were dated even back then so now they are ancient references not many people will get. A new Gex would have soooo much of modern pop culture to pull from, make fun of, etc... as we see with the Wick reference here.
