Something you probably missed was the fact that the grandpa is starting to forget things, because the woman (his daughter) said "He told you last week and the week before he wasn't selling, meaning he forgot and thought his daughter knew the men, but she didn't. I was in tears the whole song.

You missed the whole concept of the the video. Notice how his granddaughter and the daughter both were wearing pink ribbons(so he would know who they were) Which tied into the song. And when he asked her if they were friends of hers and she told them they told them 2weeks ago he wasn’t selling. He has dementia or Alzheimer’s it’s sad he remembers everything except the current things
@patricktaylor62994 ай бұрын
The guy with the tattoos is not Cody Johnson in the video. It’s actually the songwriter of the video actually owns the house and bought the property that wrote the song and brought it to Cody Johnson. Cody Johnson only has a tattoo on one arm on wrist in his hand anyways that’s the songwriter.

Watch It again, I didn`t Catch It at first, but the old man has Dementia 1: he didn`t know that the daughter & granddaughter were there or were coming? 2: He doesn't remember that this Corporation {witch he ask the daughter are they friends of yours} had been coming by every week? 3: Seeing his wife in the rocking chair when no one else did & 4: The way the daughter tells him to come back in. Excellent Song & WELL directed & produced video & that scene with the dead dog in his arms GOT ME 😢😭🤧 Now I could be wrong, but I think that's what they were trying to portray & that makes it worse that corporations will pray on someone in that condition

Most of us reacting to this never had family "land". If you do or did, you are fortunate and should think twice about that before you just sell it to make a few bucks. I grew up in NW Texas as a transplant where dry-land cotton and cattle were king. My family didn't have some of those opportunities because we didn't own land (My Dad was a great salesman, manager, and Father though (and I learned a shit-ton from him)). Now, those lands that many others owned and sold are worth a mint for wild game hunting if nothing else. Looking back, I would purchase as much dirt as I could, but I was living in section 8 housing at the time of my early adulthood. Timing is everything. Don't just think of yourself, think of your future generations. Peace, Love!!

You missed the line “a man doesn’t leave his dog” and the clues that the gentleman has dementia. I understand pausing to discuss a song, but when you don’t really listen and talk over it, there’s no point. Great song, though!❣️
@wcb58905 ай бұрын
That line has nothing to due with dementia...my FIL has all his dogs buried on family property...when the property was divided among him and his siblings he made sure that his portion is described specifically to include that spot. When my dad sold some land he had to an individual my dad mentioned to him specifically where we had buried two dogs even though one was like 10 years before the sale and the other was 16 or 17 years before. Also, the guy that wrote the song didn't write it from that perspective. He wrote it about his house and land that the renovated and brought there baby home to.
@1sweetfamilylifea5 ай бұрын
@@wcb5890 The line about the dog and dementia are two different subjects. I didn’t say they were related. The guy said he thought the gentleman was referring to a human. It’s because they were talking over the video and not listening, which is why they also completely missed the dementia twist. It was just my unsolicited opinion & not that serious. Though it’s more enjoyable that people actually “listen” and “watch” if they’re going to react to videos, it’s their prerogative not to and also my choice to not subscribe, which I didn’t. I think they’ll survive. Otherwise, they seem like a nice couple. I LOVE the song and the video concept was even more sad, yet precious.♥️💔♥️

I just wanted to point out because even when my father when I was 21 and he was 59 I know it doesn’t matter I’m 25 now but I still remember it like it was yesterday even he had dementia. It’s like the government sold his medical records to this company and the last few months he was alive. They were trying to buy up his land for a neighborhood I was sitting in the back and would let him talk because I know he would never sell it and all he would do is reminisce on the good times, but couldn’t remember much of anything else, but like when they show up, he remembered everything and I would get a part of my dad back and hear the words I love you and I will never sell this land

My dad had vascular dementia so little different then some dementias where there are sundowners where when the sun goes down the person you know is gone my step uncle had them and when night time came, he would have all the energy and go back to when he was in the war, Vietnam yelling that they are coming and bossing us around like his soldiers like he forgot people around
