There's a reason people love country music. You either fall in love with it as a child or you do when you hit a point in your life. It's healing music. Reminds you what matters in life. ❤

so damn true. I grew up listening to 90’s country, then stopped listening to it up until about a year ago when I got heavily back into it. especially CoJo!

I've listened to this song several times. As soon as I saw the video: tears. It hits the feels when I saw that old man, reminded me of my grandfather.
@carls1959Ай бұрын
If it's any consolation, this 65 year old man cried too. His values, and the ones he passed on to his daughter, are what I cried for. I miss when people had those kind of values. Pride in, and love for, what they have and the history made there. Good reaction. Thanks for sharing.

Never heard this song myself, but I'm sitting in my home in Arkansas, the one my father's father built and raised him in, with my own wife and child watching this. That is something I cherish every day I wake up being so close to family, even if they're gone. You've gained yourselves a like and subscribe. Best of luck with your channel fellas

Cody Johnson has always done an amazing job at story telling and painting a mental picture in his music. I’m Texan so of course seeing him back when he was new on the Texas country scene and when he was starting out he was and still is the best performer I’ve ever scene live even 14 years later.

This song makes me cry everytime. I’m very much a family girl and my family and memories mean the world to me. A lot of Country songs just have that sentimental meaning and feelings in them and the videos just bring them more to life. And tbh Cody Johnson is An amazing singer/writer

My wife and I lived next to her grandparents and her grandmother suffered from dementia and it’s so incredibly hard to handle. We have since lost both of them, bought their property, got married had our daughter who is 2 now, also buried our bulldog by the tree where our daughter now plays. Makes me think my pup can watch her play. We will create beautiful memories on the land and pass it on to our daughter.

beautiful song. Much love to you and your family experiencing this with your family member. I've worked with the elderly for many years. Dementia can be very difficult at times, but i always feel if they are remembering happy memories, it's okay. If they memories didn't frighten them or make them feel badly- i would just play along with what they see or hear, especially if they are joyful memories. ♥

My grandma always wanted to return to Oklahoma, when my grandpa passed she did right next door to my momma. I helped build her addition to the house with my Uncle, cousin, and momma. My mom and grandma both passed here in the home i now live in.I spent the best 13yrs of my life here with my husband who passed last Oct. I have 2 best friends under a huge bean tree.I am now here alone with 1 best friend left.The memories are great.I wouldn't trade or sell this piece of heaven for anything.

That's what is hard for younger people to understand, but as you get older, you will slowly learn what is actually important in life. Everything else just becomes a distant second. You WILL die one day and you won't take a single thing or a single penny with you. Put your time in what's important.
