UPDATE: So the reason why this install was such a pain was due to not having the correct tools. More accurately, we didn't have ball point allen wrenches. These allow for that access to the bolts on the diverter valve. Here is a link for a socket set on Harbor Freight.

Hey buddy I have same car as you stock intake but I got mst inlet pipe with dv go fast it but doesn’t have bird sound

The swoosh sound? Have you tried it in sport mode?

You have to install an after market intake. I know an mst intake paired with your inlet pipe and dv will get the results you want. U can opt for a cheaper intake like the injen intake (sold on kiesmotorsports.com) but I’m Not sure if you’d get the bird sound as you would with an mst intake. I’m not sure why you wouldn’t tho... good luck man!

Was wondering how you took off the piston on the DV? Im having a real hard time pulling it apart. I frustratingly just reinstalled and go at it again another day

We used a pair of needle nose pliers, but more than likely you will break the plastic doing this. Although you don't use that piece anyway when installing the gfb.

@@kbautoproject does the piston come out if the plastic is fully broken off? Or does it only pull apart with that plastic piece? Cause i have chipped it

It should pull off with the plastic piece, like I said it might break and chip a bit.

Is it necessary to put the main piston spring I'm just trying to avoid any ECU codes

You can use the stock spring if you want, either way you won't throw any codes.

Was everything fine with just the two bolts, I’ve tightened the two that you did and I’ve yanked, pulled squeezed, even pryed the valve a tiny bit with a flathead and I see no movement on the diverter valve. My question is, when you drove with only those two bolts did everything seem fine, anything out of place? When you checked it after the first drive did everything seem nice and tight? Nothing out of the ordinary? Because I cannot seem to get that last one in, and for added measure I might put some rtv around it just in case, and I do have the last bolt in, it just isn’t seated all the way in, so it shouldn’t fly out at all

No we actually got that 3rd bolt in before the drive. Although it wasn't seated all the way. Seemed to work just fine, I just wouldn't go full throttle without that 3rd bolt. Try different hex keys or extensions to get that last bolt in.

I fitted mine yesterday, I wasn't been able to put in the 3rd bolt. I couldn't even get it in there. I have the right tools but there is no space at all to even get the bolt to the hole. I did a test drive, everything works even under full boost. I will check it again next weekend. But for now it sits. I couldnt go back to OEM since I destroyed the plastic valve... @KB Auto Project how did you get the bolt in? I even filed of the edge on the block but still I am not able to put in the bolt. Mine is not an x-drive but same block

@@ruufiss9922 Well I got tired and put in only 2 bolts lol. Holding up until now but no performance or noise increase, sadly

@@3xcelsi0r10 ahh, well after fidling it for 6 hours i finally got it lmao. just gotta really sit there and jiggle it around until u get it. i used a 4.5 rounded hex key, able to get it at a slight angle

We used a very small ratchet from a boschtech tool set. Otherwise using special hex keys that have the small ball end should do the trick.
