GET MATCH FIT! What's he been doing for the last 3 months? Why did he not keep himself fit? The guy is once again still unprofessional and now a chancer. I hope Gillingham really have protected themselves with his contract.

@@grahamcook9289 he said himself he’s done his own pre-season, but that won’t be the same as having a full pre-season with a club where you actually play games or train with other players at a high intensity, he hasn’t played any games so we can’t just chuck him into the mix, the club has a methodical and calm approach to how we deal with things now and we wouldn’t of signed him unless it was a correct fit as a club, hence why it’s taken 2-3 weeks of negotiations - it had to be correct for the club.

If they can get him fit and keep him fit he will be amazing for us in this league, far too good for league 2..but that’s the challenge. I would get him fit and use him as an impact sub until he really gets back to his top form..UTG

The sad fact, for such a talented player when younger and fit, was that only Gillingham, twice, and Tony Mowbray, twice, have employed him. Why is that?

Well it’s simple really, he stayed on a season longer that he should of done with us, and then when Blackburn came calling with a 750k offer we couldn’t say no otherwise he would of left on a free! He scored 33 goals and got 11 assists in the championship with Blackburn, and 18 goals in league one with them and was vital in their promotion season to the champ. He’s had two ACL injuries in both knees which is a horrific injury for any player to pick up, so you have to take into account he’s lost about 2 years of playing time from that, as the recovery and getting back up to full speed is going to take a long time, a lot of players would of retired after that. There’s no doubt if it wasn’t for his injuries Dacky’s numbers would of stayed consistent and he would of been a top championship or lower level prem player, we should be absolutely buzzing we have him! His injuries have cost him massively and he probably can’t do it in the higher leagues anymore, but I have no doubt he will smash it in league 2 - also it’s a good sign he hasn’t moved around loads, he’s a loyal player. @@ethanmcgrorty7479 That's incredibly generous interpretation of the facts. Dack stayed a year longer than he should as no club chairman/owner wanted to touch him due to his involvement in the rape trial of a fellow Gillingham player. Although Dack's colleague was found not guilty, the details revealed by the trial did not paint a very savoury picture of Dack and showed his lack of judgement could lead to jail time. Tony Mowbray was in charge of Blackburn following relegation to League One. Mowbray had been in charge at Coventry in League one the pervious season and was impressed with Dack's performance against Coventry, and so he took a punt at 750k, well below Dack's true valuation for player of his ability. Dack did indeed perform outstandingly for Blackburn in League One and the Championship, but nobody wanted Dack as again he got arrested for attacking a policewoman in a Manchester nightclub. He did a deal and got a suspended sentence with community service. He failed to do his community service twice and twice was recalled to court and twice Tony Mowbray had to go into court and plead on Dack's behalf. Amazingly Dack did not go to jail and just received an increased community serve sentence. Again no Championship or PL owner would touch Dack on the basis they would waste money if he went to prison. Then the injuries as he ages and Blackburn ditch him. Again Tony Mowbray is now at Sunderland and turns to Dack again, despite his injury record, but Dack cannot replicate his previous form for Mowbray at Blackburn and Mowbray is sacked and Dack is realeased. Now he's 30, injury prone and nobody wants him, except Gillingham. I sincerely hope Gillingham have protected themselves contract wise with Dack. He will not not last more than 6 games as he is old, fat, slow and injury prone. His contract will be cancelled bu mutual consent before Xmas and in the New Year he will announce his retirement from playing and end up in the media.

I predict he will be injured by October, contract cancelled by mutual consent by Xmas and announces his retirement from playing football in the New year. It seems obvious to me that he is just filling in time now until he gets a role somewhere in the media.

You are clearly bored, have a positive attitude towards it?! Why not think by October he’ll be leading the line with the most goals and assists? Why would he have a whole career as a footballer and then want to go into media at 30, his wife is very well off so it’s not like he’s in it for the money anymore, let the lad play!

@@ethanmcgrorty7479 His wife, like all women, looks after HER money. He has no doubt pissed his all up against the wall. He has nowhere to go after Gillingham, except into media, maybe via his wife's contacts. It's either that or he will join Kenny Sanson on a park bench sharing a pack of supermarket super strength lager.

@@ethanmcgrorty7479 That was speculation only. And hardly a step up from Gillingham. Premiership clubs should have been competing for his signature given his ability, but they weren't as he was and is a liability. He's taking Gillingham for mugs. Fuck Bradley. It shows what a numpty Bonner is. His best signing is Nolan, who will be far influential to Gillingham than Dack ever will be in the sunset of his career.
