Dusty is fabulous here... and that orchestration: strings, horns and backup girls.... Amazing.

The best thing Canada received from England was DUSTY SPRINGFIELD. Was a gorgeous woman.

Tremendous!! I love everything about that performance. Her dress is beautiful, her performance is straight, striking and self-assure, her vocals are perfect and she looks so young and fresh. This is a masterpiece. Dusty, give us more of that!

Agreed! Her performance of this song blows me away - Every note is so clear and powerful. What a difficult song to sing and she masters it beautifully. It brings a completely fresh version from Garnet Mimms, and she does indeed look elegant and lovely. Bravo dearest Dusty!

She was the only singer at the time who underlined the phrasing with hand and arm gestures her range was phenomenal and she said she always finished with You don’t have to say you love me, because the notes especially at the end were so high, she could have transposed but was determined to sing it in the key it was written in, I’m absolutely sure we’ll not see her like again.

Who could play her? Answer: nobody. Too unique, every note spot on and you cannot copy her free flowing physicality. A good documentary would be better than a tepid bio. The BBC did one (which is on here) and it's good.

I completely agree with everything you have said... Are they just rumours about the film? (hope so) as i have read a lot about it. Nicole Kidman is a name thats has been linked with it and also another actress but i cant remember her name. God please no! No one can portray her.. Dusty was Dusty and no one else will be. As a huge fan I think I would find it difficult to watch the film too. We all miss her and I think some would agree with me on that

Nicole Kidman really COULD pull it off.... if she lipsynched Dusty's original vocal perfomances. But Nicole is getting a wee bit long-in-the-tooth for this role, perhaps...

Another example of the fact that no one could sing as well as Dusty! Volume never affects the quality of her voice - IMO it is still unsurpassed. May I ask a question? Is anyone else disconcerted at the thought of a movie about Dusty? I can't imagine any actress, past or present, that could possibly do justice to her talent or beauty. I also don't think that any screenwriter could accurately portray her enigmatic life or personality. I prefer to remember and adore the real Dusty.

She had impeccable taste in cover versions - The Beatles & Stones could have learnt a few things from her song choices!

Yes, this was a live performance, I am sure. She described herself Method singer - she acts all her songs. At one point here, she gestures palms up as if to say, I can’t believe I did this! Perfect for the character she is portraying. Combine that with her otherworldly haunting voice and you have a rare kind of performance magic.

Dusty sound Fab but what's up with the sound of that band? Backup singers sound good. But something is up with the mic on the drums maybe. Must have been hard for Dusty to ignore the sound of that loud echoy drumming. Band not mixed well. She gave a wonderful vocal on it nonetheless and her microphone sounded great.

Is Dusty lip-syncing? There’s no band or backing singers. Don’t get me wrong, she’s amazing and watching her move is mesmerizing. But I’d like to see a performance where she’s actually singing.

Sorry Dusty, aber die britische Band Mayfair-Set, die ich in den 60/70iger in Deutschland in einem Club der US Armeekaserne hörte und aus diesem Song eine Rockgranate machte, war das wie die Yankees sagen: badass. Da hättest du noch was üben müssen. Doch nicht desto roswita, deine Performance war auch OK.
