I dont really understand the preset and bank menu... so u have some banks to call from switching A and B together and on each Bank u have two Patches A and B. When i have 2 Reverbs on a Patch like a smaller reverb for verse on A and a bigger on for chorus on B.. if i switch from A to B does the trails go on or is there a kind of a cut between switching patches??

Great demo! A few years ago my wife bought me the Avalanche Run V2. I liked it, but I was not in love with it. I was a bit disappointed and felt that for that price, I could have gotten something better. The Specular Tempus is only $50 more and does so many other things. I may have to sell my Avalanche Run and grab this.

Did you ever sell your Avalanche Run? I watched a few videos on it and didn't care for it either. I like the Dispatch Master so much better. However I am still on the hunt for a good multi-parameter reverb/delay and have yet to find the right one. This one sounds good but I have read a few complaints about it.

Question about Dual Delay: in the algorithm list they say that Dual Delay (Dotted or Golden) is "Two separate delays in series/parallel arrangement." The effect I can hear in this vid (and on my own ST pedal) is seemingly "two delays in parallel arrangement." Is it possible to set two delays in "series arrangement" as they say?

It’s high mix (or kill dry) and low delay time on tape mode. I can look for the exact settings the next time I plug it in, if don’t forget to.

I made them but it’s not really hard. There aren’t many parameters that’ll complicate things. You can probably recreate these easily.

Tried one today. I couldn’t get a full grips on how to operate it properly. Was disappointed on how the spring sounded in it. But literally everything else sounds insane on it. I really want it for the capabilities but it’s so hard to control it from what I know.

You might need to spend some time with it since it is a delay and reverb pedal but has a simple interface with 4 knobs, some stuff isn’t immediately obvious but it’s easy to get used to it.

Both can get weird and ambient. Specular Tempus has more delay modes and Ventris has more reverb modes. Maybe you can try to decide if you like the Ambiental, Vortex, Spatium etc on Specular Tempus or the E-Dome, Offspring, Lo-Fi, Reverse etc on Ventris.

I’m recording direct from Line 6 HX Stomp. I use a clean Fender amp model and two cabs. The pedal is in the fx loop placed between the amp and cabs.

It can only run one algorithm at a time but there are some delay+reverb algorithms. Check out the GFI System website to see the full effects list.

I am really torn between the GFI Specular Tempus and the Empress Reverb. Both are in my opinion the top 2 reverb pedals that currently exist, but choosing between them is really hard. I like the smaller sized footprint, cheaper price, and extra added delay feature of the Tempus, but i like the control layout better on the Empress. If it only came down to sound, then the Empress is the winner for me, but only by a fraction. Like if i liked the tone of the Empress 100% then the Tempus would be at a 98%. Is that extra 2% worth the extra 100 bucks?

Empress has more reverb modes and Specular Tempus has more delay modes. Maybe another point to keep in mind. Always hard to choose between these reverb computers without trying it yourself. Best thing to do would be to watch as many demos as you can.

@@DoNoise yea i listened to as many as i could. Sadly there isnt a shop around me that carries either of them so i cant test them out before i buy, but i decided to try out the Specular Tempus. It just arrived today just before i had to leave for work. Cant wait to get home and hear it for myself. 😁

@@aronfebles i havent tried the Empress yet. Ive had the Specular Tempus for a while now, and its a fantastic reverb, but i find myself still wanting to try the Empress. On the Specular Tempus i dont use the Delays since i have a Timeline for delays, but out of the reverb algorithms the plate and spadium algorithms sounds phenomenal, and it has some cool sounding ambient ones too, but i tend to not use them. The Spring isnt that good in my opinion due to it not having any "drip" at all. Definitely an awesome pedal, but i still want to try the Empress and see if the Empress has more tones in it that i connect with and get inspired from.
