Yuju wasnt part of any group of main vocalists but she had some live performances with other main vocalists like "This is me" with Ailee and Lily (Nmixxs main vocal). Also with Rose, Jihyo, Sung-Jae and Jae-Hwan singing Butterfly (she really stand out in this performance, even singing with other main vocalists). Also she have the iconic Into the new world performance with Gfriend and IoI, Red Velvet and Twice and she took all high notes there even though there were powerful main vocalists there too, its called "Girls present"

For Rough Performance, funny how you comment about their shoes haha... Fun Fact, there's a video performance of them, singing Rough where SinB shoes flew while performing hahaha... search it on KZbin, it's funny how that happened. But she still slayed it. Out of all the members, SinB (beside from Yuju, of course) is called the most stable vocals when it comes to singing live. So commenting about her not having pitchy vocals, well, not all of them, but mostly it shows how stable her vocals are.

The girls of Viviz are trending at the moment. They won two awards for "Emerging Artists" and "Popular Group Performance". And they performed Untie + Maniac + Come on baby tonight at rhe Hanteo Music Awards. Would be nice if you could react, their voguing break dance was really cool and their style too

SinB did an iconic dance and solo cover of No. 1 by BOA during GFriend’s first ever concert tour. When she took her hair down the fans went crazy and it went viral. Haha 😜. I will never forget that moment. 😊

Sinb is really a good performer, good singing voice and amazing dance skills. Fun fact: GFriend original line up was 7 members(? not sure) and Eunha wasn't part of it and then aside from being a main dancer Sinb was supposedly the lead vocals

Yes a girl left the group just as they were about to debut and they thought that their dreams were ruined. Another girl left the proposed group a few weeks earlier as they were supposed to be a 7 member group originally. But suddenly they were down to 5 members. Eunha was a late replacement, as a staff member remembered her from her previous company when she was a trainee. But she had given up on her dreams of becoming an idol saying that all the other trainees were prettier than her and were more talented too. But she was so wrong about that and it showed her lack of confidence back then. But imagine GFriend without Eunha. That would be unthinkable.

@@slaypa would that be the Minseo who is alongside Yerin at Bill Entertainment now? I don’t think it could be her as the girl who dropped out at the last minute was sued by the company for all her training debt and the additional costs she incurred them whilst the Minseo now at Bill Entertainment took part in a MNET survival show the following year. The trainee who dropped out just before debut would have been blacklisted by the industry I would expect as dangerously unreliable. The trainee who should have been in GFriend who left the earliest was Jenny from DIA I believe. She may subsequently have regretted moving company following the success of GFriend. But the one who departed close to debut has had her identity kept secret although a name has been speculated but never proven. She was sued successfully for almost $10,000 by the company.

When Gfriend debuted, Yerin was the lead dancer after SinB, it is probably not surprising that you took notice of her from their dance. Over time each girl continued to improve their skills, and the discussion over skill differences became less irrelevant since each possesses their own color with her unique strength. I've always like Sowon's vocal tone, particularly in the lower register as a mood builder. Yet most of Gfriend's songs are picked to highlight their dynamics and power, so Sowon's traits don't get a lot of chances to shine. Gfriend's performances come with very active and demanding choreo and frankly one can find vocal moments where girls may reveal they are human after all in spite of the nickname "Godfriend" :-) That actually makes their stages even more interesting to see for me. Sowon would probably agree with you regarding her confidence on vocal herself, yet it doesn't diminish her at all. Yuju is one vocal monster one can always count on. Eunha's singing is deceptively powerful. Always love Gfriend's live performances. SinB has very good vocal. I always think of her as the glue that keep the song sections together. Umji's color is special and Yerin, as you noted, has strong overall skills, but her sense for entertainment easily jumps out when she is under the spotlight. It's amusing how you talked their shoes. There are videos that shows they lose their shoes in the middle of the performances. Makes us smile in more than one way. BTW, "To My Boyfriend" is a song by Fin.K.L. released in 1998, so you are correct about its early-day source. Looking forward to the part 2.

Thanks sooo much. And yeah you are right, Yerin is the second best dancer in GFriend and lead dancer and center. Umji and yuju git really good during 2018 so they got into the dance line as they got dance clases and they got their own dance styles. Sowon and umji during 2015-2017 got a lot of hate so they had a lot of problems with confidence, but they worked hard to show their talent and their value, and people nowadays rank Gfriend as one of the all rounder groups.

Fun fact: Earlier days, Sketchbook was notorious for live performance due to live band, until 2016. But yeah, GFRIEND slayed this live stage.

I think the SNSD cover by Gfriend and Twice you mentioned on 38:57 was their Gee cover, not ITNW. But if you didn't know yet, they did do a cover of ITNW with 3 other girl groups. It was a cover by GFriend, Twice, Red Velvet, and IOI, which I think you'd really enjoy watching, although there are less individual parts and more group singing. Also, there is indeed a show for main vocalists (well, main vocalists, soloists, musical actors, trainees, and more) called Build Up: Vocal Boy Group Survival. I haven't watched it yet so I don't know much but it is a competition and it's for male vocalists. One performance I really liked from that is Jay and Bitsaeon's Dangerously.

running through time is rough korean title. In idol school when a group got this song the mentor advised them to watch the anime "girl who leapt through time" to understand the emotion in this song, idk if it mean rough is based on that anime or not but it's really fitting with the story tbh

There are some shorts of all the GFRIEND girls doing the iconic Maniac hip dance, if you were alluding to that in the last video. The song you didn't know is JYP Wonder Girls with So Hot. Reacting to them for not having a good vocal pitch or not performing well is a valid reaction. What's the point of your reaction if you cannot point out some of the good or bad things you've seen. as long as you're not misjudging them or reacting to them badly, it's okay.

For their cover of Fin.K.L's To My Boyfriend, Gfriend only made minor changes to the existing choreography to fit their dancing style (i.e. all members dancing together, even the one singing, for the most part)

There is an iconic performance of To My Boyfriend by GFriend when they performed this for the troops as a surprise guest appearance. The American troops were totally shocked and bemused to see the reaction of the troops from Korea who went absolutely crazy 🤪. It is hilarious and shows the difference in cultures as it would be regarded as very uncool to even show that you like a girl group in the west especially amongst such a testosterone rich environment. I am sure that you would love watching it.

For their mash-up performance. FACTS. Gfriend did all these cover songs on different performances. 1. No.1 - SinB did an amazing cover of it during their concert for her solo act. 2. Mr. - Gfriend performed this song, and tell you they're more hotter in that performance wearing white tank and red jeans 😏 3. So Hot - Gfriend performed this too in a different show and well 😏. 4. Into the New World - I guess you got confused, Gfriend & Twice did cover Girl's Generation but it was Gee that you did react to it. But, There's a collab from Gfriend/Twice/Red Velvet & IOI who did a cover of Into The New World.

Your thoughts about a show having all the Main vocalists in it are not uncommonly mentioned, many fans want a collab between Wendy, Solar, Yuju, and other main vocalists. However, there's a reason why these ladies haven't been on a show before, just because of certain reasons. though like you I am hoping to see it one day. as well as all the Main dancers being on one show too. Though Seulgi, SinB, Momo, and Chungha have been able to collaborate before in a stage performance, and its not the WOW Thing.

About wonder girls, you totally should listen to them more, their music is so goodddd, Sunmi was indeed in the group for a while, then left to go solo and had a couple of hits and then came back when the group became a band for like 2 or 3 years, she used to play the bass during those days. Also about a group of vocalists it would be so great but im not sure how it would work tbh, also i dont want there to be situations like the whole Nicole thing in the pussycats

As what I've commented on your community post, For their Glass Bead/MGT performances as you can observe in their early days, Sowon is not that confident with her vocals and she has been criticized for it. For Umji, you mentioned it before, she has been named things, ykwIm by that cause you also address it in your other reactions. Yerin, on the other hand, was given the title of Lead Dancer, hence saying that she might be the 2nd best dancer on Gfriend is valid. Eunha really has a strong vocal but some don't like her piercing sounds. SinB is an all-rounder, no doubt about that, however she's not confident with her singing skills and she's definitely shy ... Yuju is literally a perfect when it comes to vocals.

Yeah, about Sowon i guess it was a lack of confidence and maybe a little lack of experience vocally compare to the others in GFRIEND early years. Though she have a very nice sweet but lower voice and pitchy at time too, she is maybe the one with the less powerful voice of the girls. Also performing on Sketchbook ccould have been a little stressful for the girls, so adding nervosity don't help.

And i can understand if people get into groups that are disbanded, of course you listen to their music and stuff just like old bands from the 80s and whatnot, but i never understood getting so invested in them like watching their variety shows and looking for their personalities and all that when the group literally disbanded and won't be doing more music. Another thing i don't get from kpop fans is stanning project groups.. like isn't the group only last for about a year or 2?
