That body shape is so cool. Perfect. Then all the details you put in: the gorgeous burl fretboard continuing past the nut, the open head, that gives the strings a straight pull but still manages to seem nice and chunky. Love it! And it sounds fantastic!

Thank you! Yeah I'm really happy with the headstock. It also gives you a great string break angle which was the original reason I went with it. Thanks!

This guitar has an idea behind. All shapes, curves, a wood selection, a finishing say about she needs a name! I like that one on the preview as well

The aesthetic behind the overall shape is fantastic, I absolutely love the flow of the lines and the transition of the colours. I feel the body wood is almost too blonde, which leaves the artworks getting lost on it, but that’s a hard call as a darker colour might make the painted sections appear blotchy. The fretboard, neck and and headstock have been executed perfectly. The choice of hardware is solid and the angles are good. There’s some fierce competition in your category, and I do worry that the body artwork may ultimately cost points on what is, in the other respects, a superb execution. It could just be the lighting, but if there’s a flaw, that’s where it is. We don’t get to see the beauty of the wood itself, because it was going to be a canvas for the artwork on the top, and the blend of the two is still done well but ultimately it’s a compromise between getting the best out of either the wood or the artwork. I hope the other components outweigh it enough to sway the votes your way, or that the photography can capture those elements in the right lighting. Good luck!

I agree completely, you were also right about the binding.. I think if I had known what the ultimate issue would have been, binding would have helped alot. But I never thought I'd come close to winning this thing so it was never my motivation. I just wanted to break in the workshop and be a part of this. Honestly the entire experience was the big win here.. it has been so much fun for a social media hermit like me. Thanks for your observations. They are really useful in helping me get better. That you think so well of the shapes and the execution is honestly high praise. Thank you! But stay tuned, I'm going to refine this model until it's perfect. And there are a few new models on the drawing table...

It's a beautiful design overall. I have a few thoughts. With the understanding that I've never held it (and that it's _your_ guitar, designed for you), do you feel as I do that some upper fret access appears to have been sacrificed? It's such a balancing act. You don't want the neck to be too far north, nor do you want the lower horn too far back. It's very visually balanced as it is. The only other thing I would comment on is the maple extension behind the nut. I feel it looks a bit "lost" or incomplete if that makes sense. In the way that a flat Fender headstock scoops down behind the nut, I could see your design adapted to that method, and in carrying forth the peek-a-boo of darker wood at the lower horn, a veneer of maple could extend from the fretboard end to encompass nearly all of the headstock, leaving wenge revealed at the distal end perhaps. Just thoughts. I'm subbing.

Hi. Thanks for the thoughts. As for upper access, I went with the visual balance. I never played a multi scale, so I figured I'd go with what seemed visually appealing. It is odd to get it right. I would probably take a neck a little farther out. But tbh, I'm not personally a big user of the upper frets. I usually am fine with a 22 or 21 fret. But I would customize and refine it if someone wanted me to make them one. The bridge placement gets affected though.. so it is tricky I'm trying to visualize your idea.. Thanks for the input and the sub! My next vid gets into my thought process on headstocks.. it'll be interesting to hear your thoughts when it's out
