I just want to say as someone who started playing the game just a couple years ago, playing falco and eventually fox, these round table podcasts have been really interesting to me. I’ve never really taken to one character in particular and have been trying all the characters in the game lately looking for a main. Watching these vids gives me a deeper look into the personality of a character rather than just what moves the character uses, and has helped in guiding me towards certain characters I may not have been as interested in before, like pikachu. Anyways thanks toph and thanks gg you guys are making some of the highest quality melee content around right now.

CV: I learned to practice from melee. I got into melee just before going to college for music, and at the time I had a really good ear for music but none of the technique needed to actually make the music come out of my instrument. In the grind to get better at melee, I actually spent a lot of time reading PP's tiara man thread on smashboards and asked him a question or two as well (i was the kid who couldn't play anyone because i lived in a country that only had a sm4sh scene). A lot of the ways to practice that i learned from melee translated directly to practicing music, and i got better much faster than i ever had before, and had more fun with music than i ever had before. I know n0ne doesn't play Mario in tournament but I wish he had been here. I think he would have asked people a lot of tough questions. I also kind of agree with other people. Should have had Plup or Swooper instead of Hugs. But Hugs is very well spoken and he's got that history. He really did a lot to define Samus. It makes sense to have him here.

I main ganon... I don't complain about my character I complain about the opponent's character lol. @ what Aklo said at 39:18. I like that Aklo said it's probably not your character causing you to lose, but that you have areas to improve. Important to keep that in mind because playing a low tier it can be easy to just blame the character for losses. Great vid, love all these guys! There's definitely fewer options for mid-tiers in any given interaction, but the most improvement to be gained is by improving your gameplay in general.
