When I was a kid and way before I knew about the smash scene and any knowledge of melee I used to play a lot with my cousins in free for all. One or my cousins only knew one move and that was forward smash with Mario and he used it every time I tired to get back on stage because I couldn't sweet spot the ledge with Luigi. Something to note about the DP vs Nintendude saga is that DP, whilst not showing that much salt in a physical way, most definitely liked to trash talk after each set to let his salt / frustration out. I think the most well-known remark was "I don't shake hands with bad players"...after losing to NTD once again. Nothing too crazy but DP surely was the salty one in that rivalry. Also let's go Waff, talk to 'em. GG definitely should come up with a Pantheon category in which we can crown Waff's commentary improv whilst playing against HBox, love that video.

i think all of these people getting so emotional over wobbling shows us why is should have been banned so much sooner. Regardless of competitive integrity and the grind for improvement, we are all playing a game. The main draw of this game or any game in particular is the fun and enjoyment of it. Too many times, fighting game communities worry about the power level, meta definition or such to determine or even consider if a character is worth banning IC's were not the best characters, not really close even but wobbling is an uninteractive and even worse, unfun mechanic for the person playing against it. The people arent emotional because of the loss, none and all the other people have lost 1000s of times before but they still had fun doing so. Wobbling was and is so unfun to play against ESPECIALLY at low level, which is the majority of players. How many years did melee lose out of 1000s of potential newcomers because people would test the waters at locals and get wobbled out of bracket, or even people putting serious time into the game, get wobbled and quit for good I know this part is particularly irrevelant but I think steve should be considered a ban for ultimate for the reason wobbling should have been banned. The character/mechanics take so much fun out of the game. Steve could be the worst character in the game but any characater that unfun to play against in a video game should not be allowed. We play games for fun, characters that ruin the fun and turn the game into a chore should be heavily frowned upon regardless of how dominant or not they are in the competitive meta
