I've never really given an assassin much thought for building a character. Trapsin just looks like not a fun style of play for me and MA always seemed complex with charge up skills and finishing moves. After watching you level the Phoenix Strike build I have a different opinion now on MA. That Dragon Flight skill that teleports you to the enemy is bad ass. I didnt know ANY character had such a skill. I do always find loads of the unique claws for some reason. In the swap game yesterday I dropped about 3 of these along with a couple Bartucs, Jade Talons and Fire Lizards claws. I dont know about you all but whenever I start off a new ladder and I'm looking for that first lvl42 class specific unique drop, it's ALWAYS a Bartuc's claw without fail.

Lighting sentry trap build is godly, safe, high damage and just fun. Honestly I like better than lighting sorc because assassin is so durable and has more options.

a long time ago...around the time when the expansion went out there was an ice-sin build for PvP that was popular and this weapon is the key to making it work.

I'm currently playing a solo self found MA Assassin, and I had a failed one of these drop the other day. I was disappointed because the damage would have been a nice upgrade for me. Thanks for delving into it in such detail!

I think this one is intended for a bladesin and yes you van use blade shield too! It works well enough on my bladesin.

Socket for bladesin: just an Ed jewels with other stuff.. or another eth for -50% target Def and so your fury hit easier since they tend to need alot of ar normally

I always liked using upgraded Bartucs & this weapon with an Ohm rune on a melee assassin.

Not yet, I still have a lot of weapons to cover, and I don't think I have done many bows but look forward to it I am starting to clear out the weapons . Just recently finished all of the normal difficulty swords, and I am moving into the nightmare swords.

That's silly that you only get the procs from your main hand weapon and when you kick you dont hit with eather of your weapons but still main hand only applies :D

I remember mana per kill not applying with traps as they are separate entities, did they change that ?

pretty sure mana per kill and life per kill even apply if your teammates kill something and you are in range.

I think it applies at half of its effect. Like phase blade with 6 eth gives you -150\2=-75% on bosses.

Dont understand the video. How does claws impact kicking? Does one hand damage adds to kicks?

Claws impact kicking through other effects. I.e. crushing blow, open wounds, freezes target, chance to cast, and more. With a freezes target effect and a spammy chance to cast effect both of which will constantly hit with kicks.

@@Heavysmoker123 yeah it is solid just doesn't compete when you can have chaos/fury/plague runewords in a +3/3 base claw. the claw is designed for phys damage, just needs a little more love, if it had 20% base ias and chance to drop with 1 or 2 sockets *drool*

They stack believe it or not. The duration from the weapon adds to the duration of the ability

@@GGMentor Not to mention Bartuc's only requires level 42, and gives +3 total to martial art skills. Well worth the upgrade too.

I think its I tender for blade fury shield sentinel build. I use it and it rocks on it.
