Gonna take a series of fairly safe guesses from the trailer: Johnny's probably gonna help fight Unika at he wedding, working security detail or whatever. Sin's probably gonna be like "hey I wanna find her but not like kill her" and sol will tag along to not let his ass get killed. Sin's probably going to run to Baiken to get an idea from like someone who was super focused on revenge to deal with Unika and talk her out of it like the shonen protag he is. Meanwhile a bounty's gonna be out in Unika because of the whole near-assassination and Bridget is probably gonna be trying to kill her mostly for the money, while Leo and vernon are probably gonna coordinate having Ramlethal and Elphelt figuring out who's backing her. Testament is also going to show up BECAUSE I WANT THEM TO.

honestly my only gripe so far is Dizzy's design, her new look is SO GOOD and I'm hoping she changes to that by the end of the season, I'm guessing they maybe didn't finalize her Strive design by the time animation began so they went with her Xrd look

One thing that I always liked about Guilty Gear is that it was one of the few fighting game franchises that is not afraid to move its plot along, so getting an anime that tells an original story directly linked to one of the games seems like the logical conclusion to that, so I'm hyped. Also, my birthday is in April, so Dual Rulers is basically a birthday gift for me

With Johnny and Bridget being in the main cast, I wonder if they're going to bring up the idea of her joining the pirates again that they hinted at in XX? I think it'd make alot of sense. Bridget kinda maybe fits the pirates, she's not technically an orphan but she's alone. It'd be interesting to see Johnny take her in, learn more about her and realise she's not actually an orphan, and then try to help encourage her to go home. I think Jellyfish Bridget adds another layer the character DESPERATELY needs, and her having a bounty on Unika giving her a place in the main story is something she also needs. Because right now she just doesn't have a whole lot of story outside of being trans, which I love, it'd just be nice if she was actually story relevant.

The slimy guy does actually have a name, it's Nerville Hammer (lol), and my theory about the Eddie looking things is that they are a new Forbidden Beast wielded by him. In terms of appearance, they actually look a lot more like Cerberus, the Forbidden Beast wielded by Baldias in Vastedge. Nerville is in opposition to Gear coexistence, and Forbidden Beasts are said to act as natural enemies to Gears, so it would definently track, and would also give a good answer to "how would Nerville play?" If he ever becomes playable. Also as a Bridget super duper fan, I assume she'll just be at the wedding and that's how they bring her into the story since she's good friends with both Dizzy and Ky. And I'm sure they're gonna do more with the three of Bridget, Johnny, and Baiken than just one fight scene each. The way I see it they've all got good reason to be involved with this. Bridget and Johnny have connections to Dizzy. Johnny and Baikens entire story started with experiencing great loss during the crusades, something that was focused on a lot in the trailer. I think all three will have large roles to play, and it's not foreign to Guilty Gear to have a plot with a lot of things going on that all serve the main narrative. Johnny did a hell of a lot throughout Xrd and had plenty of excellent character moments, Baiken also had her moments specifically in Revelator, and I'm sure they'll do some cooking with Bridget.

Wishful thinking but I hope Faust makes an appearance, not only being one of Illyrias contactable assets as seen in another story, but also his close tie to dizzy and ky, helpng Dizzy cure her friend, helping her when she had the bounty, and being the doctor that gives the information about Dizzys pregnancy (being one of a few characters that knew about there underground relationship). And in his current state I think he can add a nice touch to the story with people thinking he's a gear

Unika should be out by July latest, the anime is running from April 5-June 21 (given 12 episodes and this is a Saturday show). I think if anything they’d want to show off Lucy at EVO

The show is set to start airing on April 5th specifically, this fact was in the Japanese language trailer but not English for some reason. Also Unika is set to release in Spring, so since Venom is in late March, I'd expect May, maybe early June. Lucy is gonna be the one they show at EVO 100%

The most plot significant thing Bridget did was locate Dizzy first when the bounty was posted which helped everyone else find her. After that Bridget just doesn't do anything.

The "evil" guy kinda looks like Crow (a secondary antagonist (?) from XX and the creater of Robo-Kys' and Justice clones) so maybe it's him? I'm not sure how canon even is he but he looks a bit like him.

I was really hoping they would telling stories that didn't always involve the valentines and maybe have characters like testament or all the old assassins guild characters but i guess popularity is important

I mean, the money maybe, but the devs have little to nothing to do with the creation of the anime creation. Communication with the studio would be handled by higher ups at Arcsys and probably Daisuke a bit.

It's a giant advertisement for the games, potentially profitable via streaming rights and mechandising... Heck, the studio might have paid arcsys for the right to use their characters/franchise... If anime didn't make money, you wouldn't have an industry so large supporting it. That's like critisizing Warhammer for wasting money/time on spin off mobile games. They aren't the ones making them, and they get money from them, not the other way around...
