Brother Cyrus is giving me what I need in this story lol. Honestly, besides Spencer and Trina, I don’t really care what he might have planned for anyone else. Really enjoyed the back and forth with Jeff and NAC today. It has to be a relief for Nic to get material that’s not just stung “baby brother” 10x.

@@nfgc86 Honestly I hope they’re thinking storyline past the actor in the current role. I say that only so we don’t end up with another Cam situation. I’d honestly be surprised if he came back to the show. Ryan Murphy tends to latch onto favorites and use them in several different projects.

@@vjones4769 Yeah. I think he’s going to explore his options once his contract is up. As he should. How they handle Nic’s eventual exit from the show will be interesting. I hope they give him a proper send off. He did win the show an Emmy his first year there. Let him have thoughtful final scenes with Laura and Trina bc they’re the most important ppl in Spencer’s life…I hope they do a good job recasting bc whoever takes over will have some big shoes to fill. It’ll be difficult, but who knows how it’ll turn out. I think NAC has been so good we forget how beloved the previous Spencer was. But the show needs to have a plan for what they’ll do with his character short and long term. They could easily do what they did with Sydney and Taby and just do the classic “the role of Spencer Cassadine will now be played by…” or they could give the character a rest for a little while, who knows.

Poor Spencer. His whole family is crazy filled with felons assassins and mobsters. He can't get a break. First Victor Cassadine and now another crazy uncle! Spencer now has to be concerned for his girlfriend and his little brother! Trina's father is also associated with criminal activities. This ties her issues to Spencer's family. How can their relationship have any peace or stability with all this family drama?

I don't think Victor is dead. Stavros was resurrected several times, same as Helena. The only one who stayed dead was Mikkos & Tony (he was the kindest most handsome)

Cyrus sounded like he was threatening Spencer. He sounds a lot like Victor, he always claimed he was acting for the good of the family too. I think Cyrus set Spencer up so he would feel obligated to him, just like he set Drew up. As far as people giving Spencer a second chance, they know Spencer and Spencer was a hurt child acting out. He never tried to kill anyone. Cyrus is a grown man and the idea that he’s drawing a parallel between what Spencer did to what he did, shows that he’s learned nothing.

Spencer lashed out and did things to get back at his dad. Cyrus held Trina (and Portia) hostage threatened to kill them, shot Curtis, ordered Ava to be killed, etc. He's evil just like Esme. And for him to sit there and act as if he's somehow entitled to forgiveness when he did nothing to earn forgiveness is rather audacious. People forgave and accepted Spencer because he has a moral compass. Cyrus giving Spencer the doves is him expecting something in return. It also seems he saying to Spencer "I'm the reason you have Trina" and I can take it all away. With that said, he and Esme use the exact same tone of abusive language when talking to Spencer.

Gh is very inconsistent when spencer was in Pentonville with Cyrus they had gotten close because Cyrus looked out for him. Now gh writers have spencer acting like he doesn’t like Cyrus and fears for everyone’s safety. Gh really needs to get some consistency in their writing abilities.

Considering Spencer is a calculating hybrid of manipulation, the writers haven't stretched much. Your words "when he was in prison". Study the pathology of inmates. They join allegiances to survive it. That's why extreme caution should be taken when starting romances with inmates. Spencer is pathologically capable of leaning towards what serves his interest, regardless of plot/dna. Right now he's the protector/conservator of the Cassadine family. He's never been a choir boy. But now, Cyrus is a perceived threat against more important things that Spencer is emotionally attached to: women & children I remember when Robin told AJ that he was Michael's. That entire love Sonny had for her evaporated and she was cast out like an interloper.

[Esme] It truly all depends on how long TPTB intend to pour wasteful resources into the Esme Redemption Tour. She is never going to be redeemed so they might as well scrap it. Giving her a baby is a double-down on a evil creature to the point people want Ace gone too. Trina/ #Sprina fans are never going to like her. Many will always remain in "defcon" mode. It's hard right now for some to see any movement on behalf of Esme as positive but a direct hit against Trina/Sprina. They are anxious and paranoid. She is hated. TBTB need to understand that they did this. They are the ones that wrote and wrote ad nauseum a life draining succubus to the point that Esme has no layers, just a frankenstein of parts to garner sympathy for her. Fans are tired of her. She needs to go. Trina was abused by that s/l so much that only Esme's absence from Trina/Sprina will suffice. It's like they are testing the audience to see how much they'll tolerate just to have #Sprina. After over 45 years of history with this show, my tolerance is bottomed out. I won't endure the mistreatment and abuse of a character like Trina who we all know would get flogged, hanged, and quartered if she reverse-uno and start serving up her own revenge justice. The baby is useless. He's a plot point, to where? Only time will tell. If he's not a Cassadine, but a Gray Cyrus won't let her have that child. If Ace remains in the Cassadine loop, there is Nik to contend with and whatever he will do to extract him from Spencer or Esme. They will likely not make Nik a couple with her but they might (nothing is off the table). I just don't know what they intend to do with it. TPTB are in the corner milling over what to do with Esme/Ace. They are overeager and lack vision. [ Portia] Portia is angst too, but that is not her sole function. She's a slow burning angst that is not set to ripen yet. GH picks/chooses when she's available to wield her preachy finger. Did you notice Sprina had a weekend in NYC, where the obvious deflowering occurred but Portia had no POV... Instead, those scenes were a supportive Curtis/Marshall. Instead, we see Trina calling her mother and informing her she made it, and then Trina defending her mom to Spencer with "she's just concerned, she deep down knows you are a good person" (like wth?) That is not on par with the appetite of Portia to "get Spencer away from Trina" for me, she's concerned, but I don't think she sees him as a good person Portia has not done anything to alarm me yet. I don't see her as problematic...yet. She's just noise, for now. Inconsistent plot device that should have had a POV over Trina's weekend, but crickets...not a sound from her. I did expect Sprina to finally have their moment together, but I didn't expect Portia to be okay about it if she's the perceived controlling hawk pulling strings. She should have been losing her mind over the time away because sex will bring them even closer than they were. @@amusicfan25a21

@creating1_c1999 I wonder if the powers that be will have Spencer marrying Esme so he can stay in Ace's life. I think that it was interesting that Esme mentioned that she considered Portia a friend of hers, and I do think that Esme and Portia's downfalls are going to be connected together. I want Portia to lose everything, including her family, including Trina and her doomed marriage to Curtis and her job.
