It's the subtle things that really make these scenes just as much as the dialogue. Spencer exchanging glances with Curtis🍾; Spencer confidently walking from the Kitchen with & greeting Portia in her own home especially after she wouldn't even allow him to drop off Trina's belongings or say 'good bye' a few months ago.🤣; Spencer winking at Trina; Trina leaning on Spencer's thigh; Spencer openly stroking Trina's arm and back-freely; and Sprina holding hands in front of the family. It's the little things. 💓😍

Omg, I never thought of that, but u r soooo right! He stays touching her. Either holding or rubbing her hand, her back, her arms. He almost always has one of her hands in his, and even when just holding her hand, his thumb is rubbing in circles. I saw how he motioned for Trina to give him her hand when she was talking about all the desserts Spencer had "insisted" on bringing. It's like he almost doesn't believe that he finally got the woman he has loved for so long, so he has to constantly have some type of contact w her just so he knows its real and he isn't dreaming. And realizing now that it must have been HELL for him those 1st 2 years that they weren't together. Because even then, he would hold her hand whenever he got the chance. But he must have had to constantly stop himself from reaching out to touch her otherwise. 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 to both Nick & Taby for their amazing talent & dedication to doing these 2 characters justice! #LongLiveSprina 😊 😄 😁 ❤❤❤

NAC rubbing Taby’s arm at the end then pulling her arm to hold her hand, shows great acting on his part cause to me it translated that he was nervous esp in front of mama who has vocalised her negative feelings about him. Let’s notice how when Spencer wishes Portia a happy Thanksgiving, Portia holds Trina’s arm and almost she’s trying to keep her back away from Spencer. Spencer could genuinely literally be the most respectful gentleman towards Portia, and try help her with something, and she’d still try to find a way to bring out the bad side of him on purpose. It makes me think that when Portia talked to Esme a while back, and talked her into taking that parenting class with Spencer……she did it on purpose to try to get Esme and Spencer close again and then when shit finally goes wrong and Trina gets hurt, Portia can put it all on Spencer to try and “prove” why he’s a bad guy. Now yes, Portia has every right to keep her guard up about Spencer because he has hurt Trina many times however…..Spencer is trying to get better and if he continues to work hard then that should be enough to allow Portia to get off his ass.

My suggestion to Spencer would be to STOP trying to seek her approval/validation; and just focus on he & Trina's happiness and on HIM GETTING HIMSELF TOGETHER (Therapy, Acting MORE mature, Planning for his FUTURE/CAREER). Every time Spencer encounters Portia I get nervous, but this wasn’t too bad. But I also liked how Trina didn’t give her mom any details and said it was a “misunderstanding”. She’s on a need to know basis and Portia doesn’t need to know anything. 😒. Also side note…. I know TJ is gonna lean on Portia with this surrogate stuff and Jordan and Curtis will be working together. I can kinda see something happening between both of those pairings. I would be interested to see the fallout for everyone involved lol. Yeah Spencer bought the champagne for them to toast with their dinner which was a nice touch. He may have gotten that to impress Curtis and Marshall and it worked. You know when Spencer and Trina returned from NY and the way Marshall was treating him like he hated Spencer wasn't right. I knew he had his guard up when it came to Spencer and everything from the past , but it looked like Portia was in his ear about Spencer and was bad mouthing him every chance she got. I think deep down Marshall could actually like Spencer if he really got the chance to know him , because Curtis is willing to give him a chance eventhough he has his guard up too when it comes to Spencer. I feel like Spencer can't be his true self around them like he always has to keep his guard up too he knows they don't like him , and only tolerating him for Trina's benefit. That's not right! He should be able to be himself and have them see his point of view when came to Ace (like Curtis try to do) but instead he gets unfairly judged by Portia and inturn judged my Marshall without having Marshall really talk to him. If I was Spencer I wouldn't want to be around them and wouldn't care if they liked me or not , but as typical Spencer he's always looking for acceptance and approval from everyone. If it's not from his father then it's from Trina's family. Deep down he never feels like he's good enough and which is why he always feels like he has to buy or go to the extreme to make people like him; and that's sad. When he takes Trina to NY and takes her to the best restaurant, play , and museum they think he's showing off ( and he could be) but what he's really doing is showing Trina that she deserves the very best. If Curtis and Marshall had the money to fork out they would give her everything too. What also bothered me about this clip I know it would be her firsrt Thanksgiving with Curtis since finding out "he's" her father but again WHAT ABOUT TAGGERT?. They don't even show her calling him and wishing a happy Thanksgiving or saying that she'll come by later for dessert. The whole thing is so dismissive and unfair to the bond and relationship Trina has with Taggert, and the worst part is it's going to be like this for Christmas too.

I absolutely loved these scenes especially the way Portia was practically stamnering like she had lost her train of thought after she saw Spencer! She practically cut her own self off in mid sentence! 😂😂 Now, it is nice that Trina wanted to spend her Thanksgiving this year with her new dad, especially since he is in a wheelchair, but what about Taggert? Did they forget she had another dad that helped raise her? She may mention him from time to time by saying she has two dads but why don't they let us see her with him or keep their relationship off camera and let her say they decided to make the rounds and just came from visiting Taggert or that he is away out of town on a case or in rehab and that's why she hasn't been seeing him? How about coming to dinner with her other dad in tow and all of them break bread together? I love everything else but I think they are doing Taggert so wrong.

Your right about what they are doing g to Taggert they could have said that she'll see him later or at least have her talk with him on the phone. They wouldn't have said that he's in rehab , because Trina doesn't know that he's been drinking since finding out that he's "not" her father. I still don't believe it and they went very wrong with that storyline; hope they can fix it and make things right.

Nah he was definitely--maybe not nervous but needy? Idk the word, but I've caught it too. Anytime he's surrounded by Trina's family his little grabs for physical touch get jacked up to a thousand. It's like he genuinely enjoys himself around them, but his guard is always WAY up around them because he knows how they feel about him dating Trina. So he crowds her even more than usual.

I agree! But they made up for that by saying it was very last minute, and the sentiments of Thanksgiving were felt in the home. I think this is just setting up future Thanksgivings at the Robinson/Ashford/Cassadine homes! I've been waiting to see black holidays on GH and hopefully, this is just the beginning. I can totally see about a group of 20 being there next year, especially having Auntie Stella there. Since Nik, Laura, Alexis, etc are not being a great support sysytem for Spencer, I can see Marshall taking up that role for him!!

I didn't get that at all, he's perhaps a bit nervous, which is to be expected. He lightened up at the end when he felt the warmth of his future wife having his back, and Marshal and Curtis,.

Unhappy is an incredibly broad stroke. But if this is the clip that showed up in suggested, and to the eye of one who doesn't know the character, what he's going through, where he's at emotionally, his family pathology...I could certainly see the arrival to that conclusion. However, for anyone who has watched the storm he's been through in the last few days, they'd dissect far deeper than the surface.

I wholeheartedly agree. His anxiety is palpable. He should be humble considering he's at reset with them. And indeed, he did relax. It's his maiden "cookout" invitation and he's aware that he's still in apology mode with Trina. @@ddlovesjc1

I think Spencer is supposed to be nervous in a setting where he had just made up with Trina and he was attending the family's Thanksgiving where he clearly knows that Porsha would not welcome him. He was tense at first, but he allowed himself to become relax to the point where he gave the piece of pie to the lady instead of the tramp. Pardon the sarcasm, I couldn't resist. LONG LIVE SPRINA.

He is trying to show support by being with his girl but he knows that her family really doesn't care for him much. He is usually with one or the other of them but not all three at one time while in their home, especially knowing that they know he and Trina had broken up and why. Who wouldn't be uncomfortable under those circumstances?

I think sour dough face Porsha brought out the seriousness in Spencer. Porsha was the cannibal of the group and Spencer had a keen and serious eyes on her. Rightfully so because mama hypocrite was in full bloom. LONG LIVE SPRINA.

He looked too serious to me. It actually bothered me. It was one of the rare occasions I didn't like NAC's acting choice. Portia was being Portia (but that was expected). No one else was being mean to him. So, it didn't call for that to me. He seemed unhappy/serious the whole episode. I could understand being standoffish in the beginning when he first arrived...but he never let it go. He kept the same demeanor the whole episode even when no one did anything mean to him. I hate to make it too deep...but I get it he is rich and spoiled...but part of me felt some kind of way about him being this way in particular with Trina's family ( a black family) who were not nasty to him - not even Portia was really mean to them - and he was in THEIR home. He could have settled down and seemed more appreciative to be there at least among Trina, Marshall, and Curtis. People talk about the optics all the time when it comes to Trina being unfairly treated - well - the pics were off for me in how NAC played this scene among black elders in their own home. It felt kind of disrespectful. I love NAC but didn't like how he handled this episode.

My issue I have with spencer and trina is the kissing, it looks like they don't wanna put their mouth on each other which makes it look cringe. They are always duck kissing. And then sometimes it looks like their scared to touch each other. Their intimacy feels disconnected a lot of the time.

Their acting is perfectly fine. These two actors shine together. GH struck gold with them. (But hey, different strokes for different folks). The rest of us will joy them. Also, the comment about the awkward kisses or the implication that they don’t want to kiss each other. I have never understood it. It’s very evident from the NYC trip that kissing is not an issue for them. But we can’t expect them to be engulfing each other’s faces every time 😂. The kisses in this episode were meant to be light, sweet and tender. They delivered. And all they do is touch each other. What more do ppl want? 😂
