One of the worst rewrites. Guza must have had a real grudge against Laura, he literally ruined her entire life on the show. Took away her family, too away Luke, added extra kids and affairs to the relationship and finally instead of giving Genie a contract, they put Laura in a nut ward.

I've noticed that Lesley sometimes says the line "dancing is my life" with anything pertaining to the disco. I don't know if this was a running joke or theme, but I really love it and think it is so cute and well so ... Lesley :-)

There ARE no matriarchs left!!!!! I agree. I LOVE the sage advice from both Lesley and Ruby and I loved how they showed them as the center of the family. GH was so family oriented. That just fell apart over the last decade.

You know, Bobbie keeps saying how Laura is a brat and causes problems, look at the problems she caused Laura. Laura is trying to make things right with Luke. He’s is hurting now, but he gets over it.

You can think what you want.. I stand by the word I chose. I do believe she was "childish and juvenille" (aka immature) in that relationship.. .meaning emotionally so, not just in her lack of knowledge and information, which I would see more as naive... however I believed Scott liked it that way...preferred her both naive and immature so he could take care of her. That is what their relationship was about from the beginning. That's where he was comfortable.

..and I mean that in contrast to Luke's expectations for her. Further on Luke says "I was trying to make a woman out of you.. deal with something" (he didn't mean finances). Laura was very good through this point to try to not deal with the serious emotional issues, and just run away from them... in a very child like way. Not saying she wasn't naive about money and stuff... but I was speaking about her emotional state.
