My older brother's room was adjacent to mine. I was 11 & he was 14. This was around the time S&L first got married (law book time). My bro lowered the TV in his room & overheard me watching GH in my room. Being the typical bro who always teased me mercifully he said, "I heard you watching that soap opera, you're sucha dork!' The ironic thing was, he eventually got hooked too! He always had to have the TV on while he was doing his homework & he discovered that it was a great show!

Thank you for sharing. 💞 I love hearing family stories as I didn't really have a family, I lived under the same roof but no one paid any attention to me. By the way, I like your YT handle name, I watched All My Children after Laura left GH. I too loved Tad & Dixie. They were no Luke & Laura but they were fun to watch.

This "beach" is killing me. Up on a stage set platform. You can hear them sit down, and the big driftwood log is great. Too funny…I love this so much. SUSSEZQ you’re amazing for doing this for us!! THANK YOU!! Laura's nylon stockings, on the stage beach no less, 😂that seals the killing deal!! It was in back then I think to always wear them. Oh Luke.....”F as in FOOL.”…everything he says is gold. And Jennifer being possessive? I think Bobbie wants to be with him 24/7. She acts more like his wife than his sister. The only time I slow danced with my brother was at my wedding. Weird. But, we love all of them!

Wow, so the end of the last clip Rick & Monica are together in each other's arms professing their love to one another. Lesley gets a separation/divorce and then Rick is right back in Monica's arms at the hotel down by the Marina. OUCH This has got to Really hurt Lesley, I can't even imagine the pain. I thought this happened before the separation, I learned something new. I have seen that scene with Rick & Monica, and Alan carrying his gun walking up the stairs. What a fun time this was on General Hospital. This explains my ADDICTION to these playlists, this was the best show/entertainment on tv for me back then. I did not watch much night time tv, I ate my dinner and then I went in my room to do homework to stay away from the family. Watching this also makes me realize how much I did not have a family. Amy was included in the family but was many times pushed aside and she overheard conversations that hurt her feelings. I can so relate to Amy on that level.

I love Kin Shriner (sp)? I want to like Scotty from back then .But he's a saint here compared to how he is about a year from this. Years later he redeems himself .Now he's still goofy, but at times really funny . Still, love LnL .

What the heck kinda beach is that Laura and Scotty are at. It's all overcast and dreary like the Oregon coasts I grew up on, cold and rain in the air. These two show up in bathing suits talking about wait a minute, it's cold out here! I just miss television like this that set a mood no matter how unrealistic. You can definitely tell that these were filmed on a lot and not on a location... Much like the early seasons of Genie's husband Johnathan frakes show Star Trek tng. The first two seasons were filmed on sound stages and when they would beam to Planet it would be very distant planet looking, not anything like earth, more like vacant moons. Today's television has changed so much. I grew up with day time television and soaps, now i don't think there are any soaps left but general hospital and days, am I wrong about that?

I think that still loves Scotty or at least believes in the idea of loving Scotty, she is trying hard to push Luke out of her thoughts and making love to her husband is a way to make her feel more closer to Scotty, but that it is hard to concentrate without thoughts of Luke creeping in. She still wants to be married to Scotty. That hasn't changed yet. Its going to take that monumental event to change that. And for Luke to be proven right.
