Laura, after Watson's comment about winding up dead in the park "that was a real threat Luke!" - and Luke: "I'm destroying your life and I don't know how to stop it!!!! slams his fist on the table, breaking glassware.... the panic they simultaneously portray is palpable and contagious here... their acting is so intense and lifelike.

OK, one last comment about this clip, I promise! I love how crafty Laura is about convincing Scott she needs to go back to the disco here...everybody else's planning and scheming about this job arrangement has fallen flat so far, but Laura finds a way to get Scotty's permission. She was one smart cookie!

I think this explains part of Luke's allure to Laura...he treated her like an adult, while Scotty treated her like a little girl. That's where Guza's storyline has gone horribly wrong...everybody treats Laura like she's a half-wit, instead of a grown woman with three children. Genie has commented on the show's unwillingness to let Laura grow up...I wish they'd address this problem in subsequent storylines...giving Laura agency will put her back on equal ground with Luke.

Actually, most of the problem was TG not wanting to continue the LnL love story. Since his retirement, Laura has had a lot of good storylines showing her strength and smarts. TG robbed us viewers of a lot of years of GF, because he knew if she was on the show fans would demand he be with Laura. So he did what he could to keep her off the show, that's why they only used GF to get the ratings up during sweeps. He has even admitted that he did not treat Genie right. Thing is he sucked with Tracy and I was ready for him to retire.

I love Ruby's place, with all the glamorous photos and pretty antiques...such a reflection of this former bad girl's personality. Shabby chic at its finest. So much thought went into the show back then.

I think that's a great suggestion...you know Genie hates having to be this damsel in distress, waiting to be rescued. The real Laura fought her way out of traps, with Luke acting as her partner, not her savior.

LAURA, DIDN'T NEED TO GET MARRIED TO SCOTTY BOY, AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE. HER STORY LINE HAS SO, MANY TWIST AND TURNS THAT ARE MOVING HER IN LUKE'S DIRECTION. OH, MY... I THINK SCOTTY BOY, OVER PLAYED HIS HAND WITH LAURA AND JUST MIGHT LOSE.

Me too desperately. I know we have no opportunity to get back the late great Norma Conolly, but it is a TOTAL crime that the Spencer siblings haven't been in scenes together in so long. Mr. Geary and Ms. Zeman played brother and sister fantastically. (... and still would if given a chance) Love/ed them together.... just like I loved Laura and Lesley as mom and daughter!!

I have to say I really like Jennifer and the actress who plays her (Lisa Marie). Very pretty lady, especially in this clip. She had a tough task crashing in on soap's major super-couple at such a late stage, but she did OK even though her acting ability was certainly not up to theirs.

Actually I hope they majorly remedy the situation by having it all be due to Helena.... think they have laid the ground work with that by having Helena present at Shady Brook at the 06 wedding, and Laura only woke up after Helena was transferred.... Laura is one smart, tough, cookie ... she always held her own with Luke, he depended on her as much as she depended on him through their whole relationship... to make her this week... it has to be the curse.. and NOT Laura herself.

Why doesn't Luke react more when Laura tells him she's been afraid of sleeping since the rape because she doesn't want to expose him. I mean, that is pretty telling about what her feelings are for Luke. I don't know if this was stage direction or TGs decision as an actor but I don't get it. I definitely think Luke would have reacted much more to that statement!!!🤔🤔
