Surprised you didn’t catch it, but Ozcar had to catch themselves and try to speak and act like Oscar, while not making it seem like the merger is very close to finishing. He didn’t want to scare Jaune.

Or that its already happened, the fact that they are talking means that it takes place after the bonus animatic and there is that scene with oscar falling over.

It’s not impossible that Theodore is some kind of descendent of Lewis. They were born in Vacuo before the Great War and Jaune told them about Huntsmen and the Academy’s. I can imagine a grandpapy Lewis telling a young Theo about his time getting to know a great huntsman and then wanted to be one himself. Only thing that kinda breaks this theory is that Theo would know about the Ever After so he would have an idea as to where RWBY was which it seems that nobody really knew. Either way it’s fun to think about.

"this boy" (Lewis) is probably passed on by now, being from at least 80+ years ago in a world like this. It *is* very likely his kids (or maybe grandkids) are around tho if he had any.

with Alyx and Lewis being from before the War, he's probably long dead by the present there is some merit to the idea that he's Theodore's ancestor, given Alice in Wonderland was something of a precursor to the Wizard of Oz (both being portal fantasy stories and everything), and Theodore is based on Dorothy

Watching this one, it confirms to my head cannon that Jaune should take on students. As Clover said. “ what’s the point of saving the world without the next generation waiting in the wings” It’ll help Jaune know what he’s fighting for and hope for the future. Also, anyone else notices that every time the Great War is mentioned it’s around Jaune and he is a bit sensitive about it. 🤔

I should’ve realized that Lewis wrote “The Girl Who Fell Through the World” when I first watched volume 9 because since Lewis is Alyx’s brother and she’s based off of Alice in Wonderland and Lewis Carroll wrote the story of her. That should’ve been a dead give away lol

I can just hear the mix between this Younger Jaune and the Older Rusted Knight we learned in V9. I love it so much and thank god they didn't push back Jaune's own development in the Ever After just because he is younger again.
