Self raising flour after mixing leave the mixture in the cake pans to rest say 15/30 minutes for the dough to rise. If you put the the. mixture in strait away the cake taken out is very small try leaving aal cKe mixture to rise say 15 mins you will see the difference he dough has risen well to the top the cake Wii shrink to little size. We were thought this from barnet college. Always let the mix the self raising rest and rise before putting it in the oven.

When you are adding the eggs and it curdles, just add a bit of the flour and continue to cream together in on direction and it will come back to its normal consistency

You can either wash up tidy up then put the cakes in. It has rested. and rise stays firm heating and cooking nice and firm. Plenty mixture and if you look at certain cakes shrink and small. That means you didn't allow the mixture to rise back home seekpee cake looks nicer always. Nice and firm.

After putting the batter mixture in the cake pans. Leave the mixture in the pans if it is self raising flour to rise let the self raising to double up a bit say 15/minutes before in the oven. After making the cakes becomes small instead if risen well it will come out well and firm up careful of shrinking down.

@maryappiah46083 жыл бұрын
Original your recipe is perfect. the taste was on point but I had to measure from grams to cups. We use the imperial system in the US and not the metric system. So my butter did not split. It was fluffy and nice. I cracked the eggs in one at a time in slow speed. However after baking my cake, it sunk. Tb taste was great but it sunk which was a bummer. I was thinking through to figure out what caused it but then I realized that I used a half a cup more of my dry ingredients than the equal amount to butter. Do you think I did something else wrong? Also, the oven temperature was it 175 degrees or Fahrenheit?

If you are baking one pound cake, make sure that the flour, butter or margarine and the eggs should be of the same quantity. One pound of margarine and half pound of sugar.
