GHANA OPENS BIGGEST HOSPITAL BEST IN WEST AFRICA
It is it no surprise to see that Africans fly to Europe America and Asia to seek medical treatment. Hospitals are intended to provide healthcare for sick or injured people, and in order to do so, they must have the most up-to-date medical equipment and qualified medical personnel on hand. Only a few hospitals in Ghana like other African countries, however, can boast of a world-class system that meets Ghanaians' health needs. There are several beautiful and well equipped hospitals in Ghana but to top it all is the University of Ghana Medical Center Legoon located in Accra. This is one of the biggest hospitals in West Africa. Constructed in two phases, the second phase has been completed and the hospital stands out to be one of the best and most equipped in west Africa. The president of Ghana opened this beautiful and one of the most biggest hospital in West Africa.
The second phase elevates the center's status to that of a quaternary care institution, as it will now offer highly specialized, experimental, and unusual diagnostics and surgical procedures. The second phase of the medical center, built with a US217 million Israeli bank grant, includes 42 specialist and subspecialist clinics, a cardiothoracic surgery center, and a cardiac catheterization lab. It also has an eight-unit apartment for critical staff, a biohazard waste treatment building, a waste dumpster shed, an oncology ward, neurosurgery with a neurology ward and an intensive care unit, an assisted reproductive technology center, private wards, a paediatric surgery unit, an MRI, and dental service units. Akufo-Addo stated that his administration is dedicated to providing Ghanaians and residents with adequate health infrastructure and world-class health care.

As a Jamaican i think this is great , i hope Priminister Andrew Holness sees this , ive not seen any public hospital in Jamaica like this unless private and it is still not on this level, my only worry is how much will they charge non nationals,Ghana is already expensive to live in, but i remain positive Africa needs hundreds more of these its been too long coming with all the corruotion and stealing going on around the continent while the innocent and poor suffer, Africans do better please stop the bickering Africans are one people outside and in the time has come for us to stand together and show the world who we truly are, peace love and light to you all my brother's and sisters, our famous Jamaican saying is One Love✌💜

But t would also like to see Africa take a lead role in Holistic medicine and build a modernize full holistic Hospital since we can grow most herbs and roots plants that's needed ,instead of know going to have to relay on western tecknology and vaccines to run these haspital....

Yeah, it is great and wonderful but, the sad part of it is that, it is only for the rich in our society. If you don't have the means, you dare not approach it. Question is why are the best medical facilities being established in Accra? It is all for the rich which is so bad.

President Nana Addo, taking credit for what John mahama built, instead of continuing and completing all his projects you are rather doing politics. And to the whole world he's just commissioning it, he never started it. Thank you Ex President mahama for thinking about mankind. I will continue to pray for your agenda, Ghana as health hub for West Africa 🙏🙌.

You are right John Mahama is a visionary, i heard him say during his presidency that he wanted to make Ghana a health hub and well as an aviation hub in west Africa. He didnt only talk he walked to talk by starting something on the ground. This is what true visionaries do, and these are the very things that creates jobs for our people!

This is an incredible development by Ghana. Ghana is showing the way. South Africa needs to take careful note. Their hospitals have fallen apart, they're filthy, without water and constantly with strikes. Some are infested by rats and way below acceptable hygene standards. Show Africa Ghana. It looks wonderful. Be proud

The current president Akuffo Addo & his unproductive, tribalism, chaos, useless, failed, nation wrecker & disastrous governance no nothing about University of Ghana medical 🏥 center established by Former president John Dramani Mahama & Great NDC Party using the taxpayer's money. Current President Akuffo Addo, Mahamudu Bawumia & failed NPP destroying Ghana pathetically said infrastructural projects including hospitals 🏥, schools 🏫 & overhead bridge 🌉 aren’t important for Ghanaians unfortunately 🙉☠️.

The University of Ghana Medical Center was built by the former president John Dramani Mahama. The phase 2 of the project has commenced under the leadership of the current president Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo. Both leaders are demonstrating the uniqueness of their stewardship. Under the current president, 111 new hospitals have been designed and are going to be built across the country, to further increase accessibility of healthcare to all Ghanaians and many African nationals. Health tourism is a big industry and Africans must not travel out of the continent to seek health care.
