Ghana need to start teaching the youth about important of farming. And they should stay away from GMO. Veggies shouldn't be expensive in Ghana. We have the land. All we gotta do is farm. Just stop importing food.

GM seeds are not to be replanted. Imagine every farmer can replant the seed an investor had spent money to perfect. Yes so the incentive for every investor to get back their investment is for scientists to assure them replanting is not possible. They should go buy the seeds from the original creators to support them

Non-replantable seeds, also known as "terminator seeds," are genetically modified to prevent them from germinating if replanted after the initial harvest. This technology ensures that farmers must purchase new seeds for each planting season rather than saving seeds from their crops. Here are some key points about non-replantable seeds: 1. **Genetic Modification**: These seeds are engineered to include a "suicide" gene that activates after the first growing cycle, rendering the seeds produced by the harvested crops sterile. 2. **Purpose**: The primary goal is to protect intellectual property and ensure continuous revenue for seed companies. It prevents unauthorized use and propagation of patented seed varieties. 3. **Controversy**: Terminator seeds have sparked significant debate and controversy. Proponents argue that they incentivize innovation and investment in agricultural biotechnology. Critics, however, highlight ethical and socio-economic concerns, such as dependency on seed companies, potential impacts on biodiversity, and food security issues for small-scale farmers. 4. **Regulation and Bans**: Due to these concerns, the use of terminator seeds is banned in many countries. The United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) recommended a moratorium on field testing and commercialization of terminator technology in 2000. 5. **Alternatives**: Traditional farming practices often involve seed saving, where farmers use seeds from their harvest for the next planting season. This practice is crucial for preserving local varieties and maintaining agricultural biodiversity. 6. **Current Status**: While terminator technology remains a contentious issue, advances in biotechnology continue to influence agricultural practices globally. The ongoing debate balances the benefits of technological innovation with the need for sustainable and equitable agricultural practices.

My friend's seedling nursery of Pepper, all the plants died. They grew, then there was failure to flower/ flower aborts. The leaves dried up, leaves become shriveled and the whole plant dies.

If GMO tomatoe and pepper seed is being used you can't reserve seed for next season and re-plant. Big Yanky agric corps (ex. Monsanto) designed them so you have to come back to repurchase seed for each season. Big role in why so many farmers are committing suicide in India. Say no to GMO in Ghana!

The Volta river is going into the sea, waving bye bye, but when it vex, it will flood small. That is quite funny how he said it, but come to think about it, we are watching money flow down to the ocean. An aqueduct can be built to channel the water throughout Ghana. Look at how California has designed their own: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_Aqueduct
