My personal favorite ,what a terrific player took 2600-2700 ELOs for a maze run with few time lead of 45-50 mins unreal at elite level, reminds of Bobby Fischer. In my opinion most attacking, naturally gifted instinctive player makes chess look like an art to non-chess followers just like Brazilian football at its best does not care what "engine says" at times shows human talent > stockfish which is a rarity in today's chess. Some of his openings were out-right "illegal" and outrageous ,creates imbalances at will. "No look" moves, calculations in head looking elsewhere is scary for any opponent. I hope in future we will see Arjun Erigaisi vs Gukesh D ( The game of the century) for WC. Perfect Video Title "Arrow" celebration from him was cherry on top. 👑👑

Every GM , IM remembers their games from scratch. Super GMs can recall even others past games too. Like magnus can remember a position from a game played in 1960 which he came accross when he was a kid and still he continued it and won against hikaru in Casablanca chess.

Man of a few words, but chess is definitely his language. 😀 No one would look at him and imagine the fire he makes on the board! The way he handled not getting closed invites in the last year and climbing to the top of the charts anyway is truly mad. And he did with it so much grace and maturity. And now he has all top tournaments lined up! Wishing him all the luck to shine in those as well! And keep firing that Gandheevam! ❤

Why Board 3? I understand leaving Gukesh Board 1 to prepare for World Championship, but what’s the strategy with Board 3?
@LG-fp9jiАй бұрын
They said Arjun is quite good at winning against lower rated players consistently (which he explained in this video with his “risky” style), and gukesh has a lot more experience beating stronger players.
@Skeptic_arunАй бұрын
It's not easy to win against 2600-2700 GMs because of easy ways to make draws in today's era(even u can see Magnus at board one for Norway he made 3-4 draws against 2600+ opponents). But, Arjun is so good at it that India was sure to have at least one win in each game(which he did almost all the time,two draws where he missed good winning chances). So, It totally made sense. Rest Gukesh's performance at board one and Pragg also played more super tournaments, makes this more obvious.
@Creator0369Ай бұрын
Winning against 2600-2650 players with both colour consistently is very hard. So, we have to assure that it must be a win

arjun has that aronian mindset. his strategy to beat 2600's is about taking risks. you put arjun on b#3 - you have to expect this. only arjun can extract wins out of such positions against "weaker" players.
