After Ra5, a7, now you can't take a7 bcz Rf7 is guarding it, and King (balck) can no longer come closer to a-file. Now, even if you move your Rook anywhere, a7 is queening eventually. Line might goes like: Ra5, a7, Ra1, b6, Ra6, b7+, Kd8, b8# (promoting it to a Queen or Rook)

@@Garvit_D Armageddon games are used to get a winner after multiple draws in chess. In an Armageddon if black manages to draw then the person playing with black is declared the winner. The player who is playing with white must ensure a win for himself. Clearly black has more advantage. So both the players bid a lesser time to get the black pieces . The player with the lower time bid would eventually play with black with the time period he had bid. The player with white pieces would have 10 minutes. I'm pretty sad for Arjun as he lost a few points which would've assured him the spot in candidates. I've nothing against Aravindh.He is a very bold player and confident and emotionless. He played well. Now after Arjun's charisma today Aravindh I'm pretty sure there is a lot to come.After this I'm desperately waiting for Nihal Sarin's comeback at this moment it seems he has been left behind. Yes, we can say but by playing the open tournament he developed the ability to win against the 2600s players.His ability to always go for the win makes him different from the rest others, which helped us in the Olympiad. As far as I know now he'll be playing the World Rapid Championship After CGM.
