Currency market is the best addition to the game in years. Maybe ever. Yeah I know, the gold cost can be a bit high at times and you do pay premium for some things, but the amount of saved time and avoided frustration.. its priceless.

I think the gold cost is only high because people want to spend their gold on other stuff though. Once they take away Kingsmarch the gold cost should be basically fine.

Been playing since beta. Got my first mirror ever this league ... easily gear myself and a friend for 40/40 challenges and took down all ubers/etc. Was super fun.

46:14 I followed Jungroan's mine power siphon build. It was crazy good without twink gear. Maybe my new favorite league starter. Only issue, you'll hate playing any narrow maps/areas in endgame. Running Toxic Sewer and seeing 2 out of your 3 mines get stuck at the door frame sucks - and yes, that did kill me a few times in softcore. Definitely not a "guns blazing" play style and requires some thinking, but throwing the mines towards the edge of the screen was quite automatic after an act or so. Additionally, eliminating bosses in seconds by pre-throwing mines is huge. The Glacier map boss coming down and *poofs* away in less than a second just feels great 😅

A few points: Svallin: maybe make block apply to you at 50-75% of the value so you have to invest more to hit caps. Next poe league launch: I could see the league "ending" in November and them giving a month of events until the launch of the next league in December. I agree with what darth was saying about the retention number info from people swapping back from poe 2. Gold: I would like for them to add more gold sinks other than the black market and currency exchange. Maybe make gold respec the atlas tree. Also add perandus manor back as a massive gold drop map.

Retention this league % wise is bad in last 8 leagues. Only Necropolis, Crucible and Kalandra were worse. Crucible is extremely close to settlers. Raw player numbers depend to heavily on season (winter vs summer, other game releases etc), but even then Affliction had better raw numbers.

i just looked at the clip of reflect RIP and one thing that is hardly obvious is that you can take reflected damage even if you have 100% reduced reflected damage taken, if you have a Debuff that makes you take increased damage. since it is reduced reflected damage it stacks additive with increased damage taken. with Vulnerability making you take 15% increased damage and assuming you had 100% reduced reflected damage taken you would still take 15% of the reflected damage

Wow! that's such a huge finding. No wonder I was doubting myself when I had 50% reduced reflected dmg + 80% reduced hit dmg with deadly ailments support, I would still almost die from time to time on a reflected map + cursed with vulnerability. I will remember to re-roll any physical reflect + vulnerability map mod from now on. Thanks for sharing.

@@leemay3097 keep in mind that vulnerability is just a source of "increased damage taken". It works the same with shock and other sources, so you should always overcap reduced damage taken by at least 20% if you plan to run reflect on hardcore

EDIT: Turns out I am in fact stupid, you can in mitigate and block and evade reflect, the more you know! ------------- ORIGINAL COMMENT: Yeah I'm pretty sure reflected damage is unmitigable and cannot be evaded. Impale damage is considered as reflected damage, and thus it doesn't double dip enemy defences off the initial hit and off the impale. What happened is indeed the vulnerability thing, it's not 100% less reflected damage taken, its reduced, and the vulnerability makes the total reflected damage you take higher than 100%. Unless I'm stupid, which is probable considering how confusing some mechanics are.

@@khoernchen3490 Yeah I stopped being an idiot and read the mechanic up on the wiki. You apparently can avoid reflected damage through sources of block, or evasion for reflected damage from attacks and spellblock/suppression/dodge for spells. How bizarre, I was very much under the impression that reflected damage was entirely unpreventable except by reducing reflect damage. I wonder if that means you can evade impale reflect damage after the hit that triggers the impale damage hits.

I’ve got 3 mirrors dropped back in Affliction League. It was the best league for me after ultimatum league. Nice league content. Nice new league ascension and jewels and gears. Tons of currencies. Oh man. I would rather have affliction classic rather than Necropolis+Cowgirl+Expedition+ Archnemesis+Scourge league combined and put together

Ward is a flat damage mitigation. No matter how much is mitigated, all ward is consumed and in 2 seconds ward will recharge. People don't use ward because there are no nodes on the tree to scale ward, it requires Runic items which are rarer to find, or requires a unique that's also pretty rare to make it work.

I havent seen u say that before, but im 100% against disabling currency trade on the market. Ive made multiple mirrors and equipped 4 decked out characters with buying on one side and selling on the other.

The currency market dried up trades on POE trade on some currency. Before, u could sell for bulk for premium. It was a much slower sell for bulk when everyone could buy right now on the currency market. Also, the map runners were absolute a bad place for resources. It forced u to run specific content just to get enough gold to sustain three map devices. I was running three sets of map runners, and it didnt matter if the t16 maps were better as in 8 mod maps. The rewards were the same, an occasional div and a rare valdo.

I think the more you should max out the town as normal but eventually there should be additional ways to REDUCE the overall gold costs for everything in town.

I like in POE the exchange they added and I appreciate that the "city builder" type mode a lot of people are enjoying. I personally hate city builders and so whilst I appreciate its a good league mechanic for most it aint for me. I havent touched it really apart from unlocking the exhange, I know I'm missing out but I just dont care as i'd rather not really touch Kingsmarch

If they changed reflect to only reflect 50% of the damage you deal I think it would be more doable while still being lethal to the mega map juicers. Us mid-tier players dont hit for enough that half our hit pre-mitigation will kill us post-mitigation. Lily would have still died but level 58s will probably stop dying and it gives them a chance to understand and change their gameplay (especially on hardcore)

All of the items are low level if you open on a low level character confirmed. They are 100% based on the character that opens the menu's level. So basically Loot goblin mechanics. Edited: Lily should be a perma member of this cast.

I think the currency exchange wont have such a premium if kingsmarch doesnt go core. Gold = currency through shipping, and most players are gold starved from kingsmarch, so spending gold on trading is a real drawback. If the only other use for gold is respecs and the black market then people will use it more freely

The devs themselves have reiterated for years that drop rates are balanced around trade. I would prefer SSF myself, but to say that's "the way it's meant to be played" is just factually wrong.

It's must be a balance between the devs vision and players preference. Some players like to craft their own gear and some people feel like crafting totally destroys their will to play, the devs vision won't change that so they can enable trade or loose players.

Sleeping on the map runners y'all tripping I get doctors double valdos over 15 valdos from the mapper over 35d many ex y'all sleep af on them map runners wow what a waste of time. I work from 530 in the morning to 7 at night I play 3 hours a day I make enough gold in 3 hours for my mappers to run 36 maps while I go to work and my entire city march continues to run while I'm at work and when I get home I farm up again to keep doing that. also dm is like a car in the ocean just doesn't belong.
